They told me that I am a little pumpkin and will be an old pumpkin when I grow old. What I should do is keep myself healthy. As health is most important and it is the only aim in life. I believed them. I worked so hard to keep myself healthy and I was never aware that I simply cannot grow old. As soon as I was a little bigger, someone came to cut me from my root . However, I was not dead or else I could not tell the story. 

For us pumpkins, dying is a longer process. It is like the flowers. If you cut a flower and put her in a vase, for an unknown period of time she is still alive. It seemed that she was healthy and happy always. Though I do not know whether she is truly happy or not. And no one knows exactly when did she die, it is a little sad, though. There must be a split second when her soul leaves her body, but no one had seen that. People cannot know the difference of a corpse and a living beauty. How strange. When the girl kissed the rose her boyfriend gave her, she did not know she was kissing a dead flower. It happened all the time. 

And now it was same with me.  When the man used a heavy chopper to cut me open, I did not think I was dying. Because I could see his eyes. He was so concentrated without cutting his own fingers, I somewhat admired his skill. He used a big spoon to scratch away my seeds, oh I have never seen them. I have never known I was a mother of seeds. How nice to have so many. And I saw the man turned away to find a bowl to collect my seeds. He opened a cupboard and I saw stacks of bowls inside. I was happy to see all these happen. How come I had never seen such things. I have never been told that there were seeds in my belly. Where would my seeds be gone? I was happy and excited that I failed to notice one thing：

How could I see the inside of his cupboard when I was on his table? And how could I see the neatly stacked bowls and plates? All of them were snow-white porcelains. I was supposed lying motionless waiting, but now, I was high up in the air. I can see very clearly everything in this room.  

And I was so proud of my seeds, they were in a large white bowl, hundreds of them, giggling and squeezing each other. Some would like dancing and I spotted one or two of them did jump and was spilled on the kitchen table. Oh, what a scenery and how come I had never observed such things happened before?

 I was a little curious and found that I was actually flying around the man's head, I was looking at the scene from a higher angle. Can pumpkins fly? It had never happened before and it terrified me. I must be dead already.

Am I dead? It was not believable as I felt no pain. And I did not feel unhappy. I felt free as I could fly to any where I would like to. And It was wonderful to see my children. I had never seen them before, nor did I know their existence. Sure, I will not like dying if I knew I have had so many children. But now it's a bit strange. I was dead already and I had found my children after dead. 

I flew a little lower to see them. It seemed they did feel their mother was here, as now they were all sleeping sweetly, they must be dreaming about me. If I am not dead, I will never know about all this. It was my privilege to know that I have left some links behind me. And I did not know the reason about this. Why should I need to have a link behind me? Do I really need them? Or it is only a kind of comfort for me that I am not going far? And may be one day I will return? 

It was at this moment I found something unusual. The man was sitting in front of me motionless for quite a long time. I thought to myself, is he dead also? 

When I flew nearer, I found he was not motionless, he was just staring at the pumpkin before him. It was me he was looking at. I saw his eyes were nearly burning by some kind of heat. What kind of eyes were that? It seemed illuminated from inside. I saw dark rays coming out. It must be a terrible moment if I was still alive to receive his hot scanning. I think no one would refuse him. What would happen If I looked back? I quickly quivered for a second. It would be electric. And I heard him murmuring a word:" Oh, what pity", and I was not sure he was saying pity or beauty. Though I was quite sure he was talking to the pumpkin. He must be saying: "Oh how beautiful ………"

And it was not funny at all. It seemed his scanning rays were dark, or actually a kind of transparent light I could not tell, but it was certainly coming from the black holes right behind his eyes. I was scared or curious or happy, however, I tried to fly nearer to see it. It must be another privilege of being dead. I would not be able to see such dark lights if I was still living. 

I want to see the dark but transparent light.  I had never seen such things when I was alive. Now I am dead and I can see them. What are they?

I flew very carefully down to see the light. I didn't want to touch them, but it was a funny feeling that I was eager to touch it. What was the use of the light for? I was too curious to stop thinking. The man was still scanning my body with the transparent dark light. The light was sweeping across my whole body. And I heard him: "How come the creator had created such beautiful things." And I was completely naked before the light. As my skin was peeled away by his sharp knife already. I could almost feel my own odor from the pumpkin body. He must have sensed the fragrance also.  

As I was lost in my thoughts, sudden I felt a strong current was pulling me to the light. I was scared immediately and I tried hard to fly away from the light. I did not want to be captured by it. 

I thought I must had been flying very fast, I didn't know the way and suddenly I found I was in another room. I slowed a bit and looked around. It must be his study as I saw many books, some on the shelves, some on the desk and some on the floor. 

Wow, he must be very fond of reading. And it was very different from the kitchen. The kitchen was clean and bright, but here, the books were like rubbish everywhere and some of them blocked the views of the window. And now I did find some very clean thing in this room. It was a pile of white papers on the center of the desk, it seemed he must be working something on the papers. I stayed at the room for quite a time, I found this man might be a scientist or novelist. He had got lots of the science toys and I didn't know what they were. 

As I tried to see more clearly about this room, I heard steps from outside. He was carrying a large bowl of soup coming in. Wow, it was pumpkins soup. And his eyes were still more or less the same with the dark light. And the light seemed not so strong when he was looking at the soup. He put the bowl on the desk. I didn't know whether I am sad. I thought he was going to eat me. And I felt a bit funny. Was that me?  I was not sure. If he had eaten me, then what am I going to do? Am I still flying? Can I go back to the pumpkins field like before? What am I going to do and where would I like to go? I was still floating around, but I was not so happy as a moment ago. Maybe I could talk to him?  I saw he was not eating, the soup stayed motionless on the desk. He was just thinking deeply. 

Suddenly he raised his head and stared at me.  Was he looking at me?  I was not sure. He must be just staring at the air. I flew a little higher to avoid his dark light, and I hoped he was not aiming at me.  I tried to stay behind him. He would not look back with his lights. 

I saw he was shaking. May be he was deeply stirred. He had discovered something, it seemed. And I would soon be consumed by him. 

I didn't know he was happy or excited. 

Suddenly he shouted: "Mum, mum, will you come here?"

I stayed high up on the ceiling because I didn't know whether his mum had the same dark light to capture me. 

An elegant old lady appeared at the door, "Did you call me?"

"Mum will you drink the pumpkin soup for me? I don't want to drink it."

"Oh, what a bowl of nice pumpkin soup！"

His mum took the soup away without asking. She must be a very wise woman."  

I hesitated a while as I didn't know whether I should follow the soup with the woman. I heard him signed and started writing something on his papers. 

"Do pumpkins have a second life?"

Suddenly he turn back, seemed he had noticed me at his back. However, I was not at his back, to avoid the woman, I was at the ceiling. I simply wanted to tell him, "Yes, we pumpkins do have a second life! " I was not sure he could hear me. 

He felt a little excited.  "Yes, every life must be continued. But how？"

He stood up and walk around the room, he was thinking. 

And I was thinking too. How could he see me if I could not see myself? I didn't know my look. I need not a mirror as I could see nothing about myself. It was quite strange indeed. I could see him but not me. I could fly but I didn't see my wings either. Oh, what a wonderful feeling. I was almost sure he could not see me.  I wanted to ask him, what did you find in the pumpkin soup?

"Oh, I thought pumpkins have a second life like us. "He seemed talking to me. I wanted to ask him why. 

He said, "Every life has a fire to light up. The fire simply cannot be extinguished.  They will light up other things if their bodies were dead. "

"That is an old story, what is your new discover?" 

"Well, you can make your own fire stronger with the effort of your soul."

"What? Can I make my own fire stronger?"

"All fires of life in the planet will be growing and they will not be less but more. Because every one of us is working hard to add life into the fire, the next life will be stronger and the next fire will be brighter!"

"Wow, is it evolution?"

"You may say so. We are evolving and we shall be bigger and better."

"It is very stimulating thought. I agree with you."

It is exciting to talk like this. I was actually talking with him for quite a while. I had totally forgotten that I was a dead pumpkin, I was just like his friend and, I was sitting in front of him to talk. And suddenly I quivered to remember I was a pumpkin and I should not talk with him like this, I ought to hide myself. 

But it is too late. He looked at me deeply, I saw his dark light again, I could not turn away. I became frozen and I could not move. It seemed he had found me and he just kept looking at me with his dark light. I was totally captured. I saw nothing but only the dark black holes in his eyes.  I tried to flee but I could not. The black holes were just like huge magnet and I was being drawn into them. And I didn't know I was still able to talk with him in such a moment.

"Did you have taken my life into yours?"

 "Yes, I love you. "

"What is love?"

"Well, it is simple."

"You must tell me what is love as you have taken my life into your life. "

"Oh, yes, love is one. If you are truly in love with someone, you will take her into your life. Love is one."

"Now you are one with a pumpkin, are you happy?"

"Sure I am extremely happy."

"What are we going to do？"

"Yes, we ought to finish the story. "

"What story?"

"Don't you forget our title? We had just finished the title:

  "Do pumpkins have second life?"  

"So what? I knew it already. "

"We are evolving, don't you remember?"

"Why is it important to know we are evolving?"

"Yes, it is the reason why we need to write it down. Our aim of life is more than "healthy" ".

I don't know why I was a bit not so enthusiastic, however, I promised him.

"Okay, let us start working."

And the story had been started and ended here.

By using energy, he is more healthy and happy.

 Spirituality is not easy to grow.

 The stages of life are about the same.

 The first is the danger of sexual maturity.  It was like a snake waiting at the door of the house.  You must be careful not to let the snake bite before you have a chance to go out.  If you can't pass this danger, you  will not be free all your life.

 The key is honesty. People who are determined are honest.  There is no internal conflict.  The inner spirituality will not be easily damaged.

People with inner spiritual damage can hardly hide. They will be seen by others.  The inner damaged people will become ugly.  No matter what cosmetics and
 brand-name clothing keep changing everyday, the ugliness cannot be covered up.  Those who serve two masters have flickered eyes, changed tone, and it is obvious. Any one would know it but they will not know themselves. the older they got, the more ugly they became, and they could no longer face the mirror.

 There are many beautiful old people.  Hong Kong also has it.  Mr. Tung Chee-hwa is getting more beautiful as he gets older.  Might as well appreciate his demeanor.

然後才是學業，婚姻，事業。但這也不難。難在立志。舉世無人肯立志。立定良好志向，真理就是可以明白的。

關鍵是誠實，志氣遠大的人都是誠實的。沒有內在衝突。內在靈性，不會破損。內在靈性破損，是會被人看見的。這個人會愈來愈醜。無論甚麼化裝品和名牌衣飾，天天更換，無法掩蓋。吃了兩家茶禮的人，目光閃爍，聲音變調，人家一看就見，只有自己不知道，愈老愈醜，再也無法面對鏡子了。

從人類進化的長遠看,中美之間的衝突只是一個小插曲。

人類正在從以身體為中心的時期轉變為以靈魂為中心的時期。

人類進化,歷經數以百萬年時間。僅僅在2000 年或更多年之前, 人類才注意到關於「靈魂」的奇怪而新穎的特徵。

這個奇怪的功能不容易理解。有些人認為它是一個靈魂 , 或是一個心 , 或僅是大腦的計算功能, 或者它只是思想的活動。

甚至有人認為, 在我們身體內裡的某個地方,有一個心靈的無線電發射和接收機關。

有些人注意到眼睛不僅是為了看,在視覺的光波中可能有更多東西。在眼睛交流中出現的，也可能有其他未知的能量。

在動物狀態下,人類不需要想太多,這似乎是很自然的。現在人類更先進了,他們用大腦作為思維工具,  相信自己才是地球上的贏家。

大腦只是一個「思維工具」? 

令人費解。什麼是靈魂, 什麼是心靈? 需要較長時間去瞭解。

然而, 這種情況始於大約 2000 多年前。

從那時起, 人類從以身體為中心漸漸切換到以靈魂為中心。

兩個千年以來, 人類正在一點一點改變。

只有少數天才注意到了這種變化。他們是一批哲學家、作家、作曲家和藝術家。

從貝多芬 到 莫札特,從托爾斯泰 到 紅樓夢 , 從佛陀到 耶穌 ,從耶穌 到莊子,他們為人類描繪了一幅靈魂的圖畫 。   如果有人需要知道什麼是靈魂,他可以從以上傑作中尋找。任何被這些思想深深打動的人, 他一定是已經有了那種同樣感覺。

中美之間的重大衝突其實是物質貪婪與集體心靈的衝突。

人類在個體的孤寂籠子里思考了兩千年。而現在是人類能夠真正以集體方式思考的時候。整體的立場與單個單位不同。"我該怎麼辦? " 與 "我們可以怎麼辦"是不同的。較新的目標是為人民服務,而富有的精英們只是為了搶錢。

這是一個在進化意義上的中美衝突。這是人類歷史上的第一次。

當拿撒勒人耶穌宣揚不要為食物而工作,而是為永生而工作時,他是西方第一個觀察人類心靈的哲學家。現在, 兩千年時間過去, 人類進步了多遠? 我們將在不遠的將來看到第一個結果。

中美衝突其實是一場心的戰爭。

這一場戰爭其實已經積累了2000年的能量。

在人類文化的另一端,人們已經發展了一種集體生存的方式。出現了集體的心靈。

集體心靈的視野是不同的。貪婪問題可能處理得更恰當。 。

古代哲學家莊子提出了一個整體的概念, 這意味著我們是一。而莊子鼓勵人們注意事物的內在和外在。

莊子沒有提到愛,但愛的概念隱藏在 內心的感覺中。耶穌也提到了愛。他們其實發現了同樣的事情。

現在,我們可以更清楚地看到這一場大規模的思想衝突。

這是一場發生在心靈中的戰爭, 表現在以物質為中心的制度和社會主義制度的衝突之中。

然而, 物質的貪婪在兩個系統中都可能找到。

你會看到某些人正在異常努力地在社會主義內裡推動物質思想 。衝突開始了, 敵人滲透了。

一些人表面上歡迎"一國兩制",  但其實是暗中希望推動"一國兩心"。 他們期望，雙方懷有不同的心，國家就會被削弱。

社會主義的視野與物質貪婪的視野從來不一樣。然而, 現在雙方正處在同一間屋子裡。當你實施一國兩制時, 你也同意一國兩心嗎？中國正處在重大衝突之中。 

如果中國被打敗, 整個世界在進化中都會倒退。

為人民服務可能仍然是人民的主要思想。然而, 你可以看到其他種類的教育和潛移默化正在暗中進行。 各種網上媒體 經常主力挑動物慾的低俗趣味。  

在這種情況下, 鞏固心靈是主要矛盾。

如果要維持兩個制度, 思想問題必須成為國家的首要優先事項。一個國家可以有兩種制度, 但他們只能用一個心來為人民服務。

人類進化是一種複雜而艱難的進程。未來的千禧年裡，戰爭仍會不斷發生。但這些戰爭，將與以往不再相同。

The conflict between United States and China is but a small episode in the long run of human evolution.

Human has been changing from a state of body centered period into a soul centered period. 

The first period took millions of years since the early evolution days of human. And it was only in  the last 2000 or more years humans have come to notice a strange and new feature about themselves. 

This strange feature is not easy to comprehend. Some thought it is a soul, or a mind, or a calculating function of the brain, or it is only the movement of thoughts. 

And some people believed there is a radio transmitter and receiver of mind waves built-in somewhere inside our body.

Some people noticed eyes are not only for seeing, there must be something more in the light waves. You can communicate using some unknown energy in the eyes.

It seemed natural that in the animal state humans need not to think much. Now humans are more advanced as they are all armed with a brain as a thinking tool and they believed they are the winners on earth. 

Is it only a "thinking tool"?

This may be puzzling for humans. What is a soul and what is a mind? Maybe it is still a longer way to come to a complete understanding.

Yet the situation had started 2000 years ago. 

We are switching from body centered to soul centered since then.

Mankind is changing little by little in this two millenniums. 

Only a few geniuses had noticed this change. They were philosophers, writers, composers, and artists. 

We can see the situation in major masterpieces for the last 2000 years. From Beethoven to Mozart, from Tolstoy to Dream of the Red Chamber, from Buddha to Jesus and from Jesus to Zhuangzi, they had painted a picture of soul for mankind. If anyone needs to know what is a soul, he can search from any of the masterpieces. And anyone who had been deeply moved by the thoughts, he must be the kind of people who had the same feeling. 

The masters studied the spiritual and material sides of the universe. And they have a similar interest to look at the spiritual side. 

But the world has gone into the opposite of their findings.

Most of the world regard money more than anything else. People need to survive, anyway. And soon the survival need had been replaced by greed. Wars have never stopped. Materialistic greed has been major living force for many. 

Soul powers are weak and material powers are strong. 

The world has been changing. And the first success of socialist countries appeared. 

The major conflict between United States and China is a conflict of material greed and a collective thinking mind. 

Mankind had been thinking in the lonely cages of individuals for two thousand years. And now is the time mankind can actually think in terms of a collective way. The standpoint of a whole is different from a single unit. "What am I going to do?" is different from "What are WE going to do?"  They can see differently in another perspective. The newer aim is to serve the people while the rich elites is to grab the money.

It is an evolutionary background of the US-China conflict. And this is the first time ever in the history of mankind.

When Jesus of Nazareth told his followers do not work for food, but work for a food for eternal life, he was the first philosopher from the West to observe the soul side of mankind. Now a time gap of two millenniums had been lapsed, how far has mankind advanced? We will see the first result in a not very long future.

The conflict between China and the United States is actually a war of mind. 

The war has been accumulating its power for 2000 years. 

In the West, Jesus has offered a concept of love. The concept has a deep-rooted source of thought that we as human beings are living as a soul more than a body. Love is unavoidable if we have the conviction of a soul and love would be impossible if we were occupied by earthly interests.

Materialistic greed is the reason of war.

This is the main cause of unhappiness of the people who cannot think of themselves as a whole but a single and unconnected individual. They are basically helpless in the concept of an unrelated status. 

Materialistic greed is universal. 

By the other end of human culture, people has developed a collective way to survive. And a collective mind is thus appeared. 

A collective mind can see differently and the greed problem might be handled more properly. 

Ancient philosopher Zhuang Zi had presented the concept of a whole that meant we are one. And Zhuang Zi encouraged people to aware the inner side and external side of things.

Zhuang Zi did not mention love, but the concept of love was hidden in the inner feeling, which was also mentioned by Jesus. They had found the same thing.

To think in a whole was never an easy thing as the Chinese was dominated by the Confucius doctrine. The Confucius doctrine was family centered and it was a small unit. It was actually individualistic and cannot avoid the setback of greed.

Now we can see the conflict of minds more clearly. 

It is materialistic greed fighting with a soul.

It is a war happened within the mind and it was shown in the conflict of a material centered system and a socialist system. 

However, materialistic greed can be found in both systems.

And you will see some strange people are working hard to promote materialistic thoughts inside the socialist country . The conflict had started and enemies infiltrated.

Some people welcomed "One country two systems" in a hidden wish to promote "One country two minds", hoping that when people are not united in one mind, the country will be weakened. 

Socialistic view is never the same as materialistic view. Yet now they are sharing the same roof. When you are obliged to share the systems, you are also obliged to share the minds, and China is now living in a conflict.  

And if China is defeated, the whole world will be going backward in the evolution. 

To serve the people may be still the major thought of the people, however, you can see other kinds of public education are silently going on.  Focuses of the media were often found in the form of lower taste of material life within mainland China.

A strong mind is utterly important in such a situation.

If two systems are to be maintained for a period of time, the problem of mind must be the first priority for the country. One country can have two systems, but they can afford only one mind to serve the people. 

Human evolution is a complicated and difficult way. We shall see many wars ahead of the millenniums different from the old times.

從貝多芬 到 莫札特,從托爾斯泰 到 紅樓夢 , 從佛陀到 耶穌 ,從耶穌 到莊子,他們為人類描繪了一幅靈魂的圖畫 。   如果有人需要知道什麼是靈魂,他可以從以上傑作中尋找。任何被這些思想深深打動的人, 他一定是已經有了那種同樣感覺。

天才們研究了宇宙的精神和物質方面。他們非常關注精神的一面。

人類在個體的孤寂籠子里思考了兩千年。而現在是人類能夠真正以集體方式思考的時候。整體的立場與單個單位不同。"我該怎麼辦? " 與 "我們可以怎麼辦"是不同的。較新的目標是為人民服務,而富有的精英們只是為了搶錢。

這是一個在進化意義上的中美衝突。這是人類歷史上的第一次。

當拿撒勒人耶穌宣揚不要為食物而工作,而是為永生而工作時,他是西方第一個觀察人類心靈的哲學家。現在, 兩千年時間過去, 人類進步了多遠? 我們將在不遠的將來看到第一個結果。

 　　 It seems that this is a problem nobody cares about.  But in fact, in the depths of a collective subconscious, there is an idea.  This idea is reflected in several western science fiction works, which is actually quite shocking.  They all think of outer space colonization.  They think that the earth is hopeless.


 　　 But this is a dead end.  Even if a substitute for the earth is found, as long as the way of thinking of mankind remains unchanged, soon this new earth will be destroyed.

 　　First: Can we change a way of thinking?  Replace lying with honesty?

 　　The question is: Why can’t people be honest?


 　　 Because people’s thinking stays at the individual stage.  They cannot see the world as a whole because their only concern is in a cage of self.


 　　Second, can we give up individual thinking?

 　　The 4 stages in life such as birth, old age, sickness and death, and even the concept of reincarnation, start from the individual.  The traditional idea is that everything in the world is emptiness except matter.  Either eating, drinking and having fun, or all four.


 　　 Actually, the relationship between material and spirit is not so simple.  The world is neither material nor emptiness, but a kind of circulation.  Individuals and individuals are connected, circulated, and communicated.

 　　

 　　From this perspective, matter is still matter.  I left, the world is still the world.  I cannot take away the matter, but what I have is not emptiness.  Because I am a part of the material, and I have pushed the world.


 　　 If I think that everything in the world is nothing but matter, then I will not actively work hard.  Since everything is empty, what are you still trying to do?  But after getting rid of individual thoughts, I may know that I am valuable.


 　　 Material and spirit are inseparable, this is the spirit of Zhuangzi.  The "things" in Qi Wu theory (齊物論)are two in one.  I have lofty ideas, but I still work hard in this world.  Being able to work hard is what I want most.  This is the greatest happiness.


 　　 Individual enjoyment has very little meaning.  Anyone who understands this will know that it is too unworthy to abandon the lofty purpose of being a human being for the sake of small and humble material benefits.


 　　 Third, the world often mentions love.  But the essence of love is still the overall concept.  The love of the individual, the love of a small unit, and even the love of the family and the country must be viewed as a whole to be truly meaningful.


 　　 Why is love so important?  Because love is not only mutual help and mutual benefit, but also the foundation of wisdom.  Without love, there is no wisdom.  As mentioned above, everything is empty.  Without the idea of ​​love, there is a small unit of self only. What you seek is self-interest, it is impossible to look forward and foresight, and has nothing to do with wisdom.


 　　 Fourth, a person who has the above three advantages is still basically a dead person.  Because it is lifeless.  You are honest, you can see as a whole, you have love and wisdom, but you are still just a dead person.

 　　

 　　 A living person is constantly moving forward.  You have an immense thirst for knowledge, you never stop exploring, you never stop developing, you are a living person.  What you represent is not yourself, but the life force of your race.  You are moving, you are not dead.


 　　 The last question is, after reading the above four points, it seems that a very simple idea can really save the earth?

　　但這是一條不通之路。就算真的找到了一個地球的代用品，只要人類的思維方式不變，很快，這個新的地球，也一樣會被毀壞的。
　　世界是否仍有希望？
　　其實事情只在一轉念之間。
　　第一：我們能否改換一種思維方式？以誠實代替說謊？
　　這不止是一種普通的人際關係。而是人的整個思想體系變更。只有絕對誠實，才能找到真理的。倘若只能依據一些半真半假的文章，特別是歷史學，宗教學，甚至政治學裡的謊言，真理就是非常遙遠的。多少千年前的混蛋隨意編造謊言，以後，人們就無法憑著他們的假見証判斷真相。人類的經驗本來十分珍貴，但因為有了假見証，真理遙遠，人的智慧卑下。
　　倘若我們人類能夠改換一種思想方式，以至誠無私的思想系統回應世界的挑戰，真理的距離，就會縮短一些。世界的問題，也能逐步解決。
　　問題只是：因何人們無法誠實？
　　因為，人們的思考，停留在個體階段。無法從人類整體的視野著眼。
　　第二，我們能否放棄個體思維？
　　所謂生老病死，甚至輪迴觀念，出發點都是為了個體。而傳統的想法以為，世界上，除了物質就是空虛。不是吃喝玩樂，就是四大皆空。
　　其實，物質和精神的關係，並不如此簡單。世界不是物質，亦不是空虛，而是一種流轉。個體和個體之間，是互相連接的，是流轉的，是溝通的。
　　
　　從這一角度看，物質仍是物質。我離開了，世界仍是世界。物質我不能帶走，但我擁有的並非空虛。因為，我是物質的一部份，而我已經推動世界。
　　如果以為，世界上除了物質就是空虛，則我就不會主動努力。既然一切空虛，還努力來做甚麼？但擺脫了個體的想法之後，我才可能知道，我是有價值的。
　　物質和精神不可分，這是莊子精神。齊物論中的「物」，就是二合一的。我有崇高理念，但我仍是在現世中努力。能夠不斷努力，才是我最想要的。這才是最大的幸福。
　　個體享受，意義其實很少。但凡明白這一點的人，都會知道，如果只為了小小卑微的物質利益，就放棄了做人的崇高宗旨，就是太不值得了。
　　第三，世人常常提及愛。但愛的本質，仍是整體觀念。個體之愛，小單位之愛，甚至家庭和國家之愛，都要從整體看，才是真正有意義的。
　　為甚麼愛是如此重要呢？因為，愛除了是彼此之間的互助互利，還是智慧的基礎。沒有愛，就是沒有智慧。以上所說，一切成空。沒有愛的想法，就是小單位了。所謀求的是私利，是不可能高瞻遠矚的，是和智慧不相干的。
　　第四，有了上述三種優勢的人，仍然基本上是一個死人。因為，那是沒有生命力的。你誠實，你能夠從整體看，你有愛和智慧，但你仍只是一個死人。
　　
　　一個活著的人，是不斷前進的。你擁有無比的求知慾，你永遠不停的探索，你永遠不停的開展，你才是一個活著的人。你所代表的，並不是你自己，而是你這一個族類的生命力量。你是動的，你不是死的。
　　最後一個問題是，看完了上述四點，好像很簡單的想法，真的能夠挽救地球？
　　當然是不可能的。
　　那只可能是水過鴨背，皮笑肉不笑，眼也不用眨一下，世界仍是繼續沒落下去。
　　一定要有人，真正的觸動了，感著了，震撼了，頓悟了，明白了，世界才是真正有希望的。
　　有了第一個誠實的人，就有第二個。世界是充滿希望的。;

Miss the Poet

Last year I visited Yichang and looked at Zigui on the boat. It was the hometown of Qu Yuan, where he wrote Orange Song.  My friend said that oranges are the navel oranges here. Its so sweet that you shouldn't miss it.  It's a pity that I walked hurriedly and went to the market for a while and couldn't find the oranges. I went back to Hong Kong to find the orange song and looked at it again. Only then did I know that although the orange flavor is sweet, the spirit of the orange is still there.  It is the poem I should not have missed.  Today is Dragon Boat Festival, miss the poet.  I believe he is still blessing us.

I knew that all is not mine after life, why keep it?
What is mind and what is matter?
Why is it important?
Mind is founation,
Mind leads the way.

It is not a sad thing for me when I was forced to give up my collection of books. I did not have enough space to store my books. It happened three times. I picked only a few and give up all of the rest. I knew it pretty well that things were just like this. Important is whether you had digested your books and I did.

They were parts of me now.

The next thing comes to the collection of my photos. It was kept in my mobile for quite a time, and when I tried to retrieve some of them, it was not easy.

What do I need them for if I am leaving? I meant to leave for another world and nothing can be brought together with me. However, they were parts of me also.

Not only my books, but my treasured memories too. They were me and they would part with me.

It is so simple a matter I wonder why people can seldom understand it.

What is me?

I am the one who had digested many valuable thoughts. And I do believe my thoughts could be received by someone else.

It was exactly like a small grass on the lawn. The grass could grow up and could bring in something for the future. And so are we.

What are we?

We are increasing and I am part of we.

We are the increasing and the growing.

We are hope and we are tomorrow.

What is the point?

This is so simple an idea and were repeated so many times. What is the point?

The point is if we cannot understand so simple a thing, we would go astray.

We would turn ourselves into materialistic devils and could bring unhappiness to the world.

You can never put materials into your life, but by robbing others, you can bring unhappiness into this world.

Materialistic greed is the most dangerous trend of human beings.

It is not power that brings in corruption, but materialistic greed. Power is just another tool of the human beings, but materialistic greed is the source of ultimate corruption.

If we are to fight for a better future, we must know the basic nature of human life.

That meant we are souls more than bodies. Bodies are corruptible, but souls not.

Then we can have a simple conclusion:

To serve is happy, while to rob is not.

It is the reason why we need to serve not to rob.

What is me?

I would say, I am a server.

Point 1:   We Are Souls

Philosophy meant what shall we do.  Without philosophy, we will be going back to animal state. No one can survive as human being if he doesn't know what to do.

And the problem is easy once we are sure that we are souls more than bodies.  

It must be a conviction, from the very young to the aged, that they must firmly believe that they are souls, and bodies are but the tools of the soul. Tools are your helpers, you need not to work for them, you need to keep your tools to work for you.

Just like any other animal on the planet, we need to survive. To survive we need knowledge and wisdom, which are parts of our soul. We can always survive better with a soul. We need to fight for survival like any other living creature on the planet, yet there is a higher aim of life. To survive like an animal is not enough for us. No one is willing to live like an eating and mating pig.

Eating and mating is common goal for animals. They would stop at that point. They may or may not have developed a soul.  We as a human being have more.

Why is it so important to stay in a conviction that we are souls?  Too many failed in the material world. If people are only working for a material body, they can never see the beauty of the truth, and they will be the negative force of human progress. Money oriented philosophy are the chief obstruction to world peace. They are trading everything for money, they are the causes of war. They are liars. They had never admitted their killing since the Opium War, until today.

Point 2:  To Seek and To Love

What is our final goal as human being?

It is one of the most important question for human.

We cannot answer that very question unless we are out of our present situation. It is like a fish will not know she is a fish until one day she come to live in the air and realized that she was a fish. We are the same.

One thing is for sure that if we keep seeking the true, the good and the beautiful, we will possibly find our final goal behind them. And that is a big project that we need to do it together, and that spells love.

Where does our love come from?

Love emerges in battle fields when people are fighting together for a noble aim. When we have love, we will find true and good things, and we would enjoy them as they are beautiful. Our goal will be waiting for us behind the true, the good and the beautiful.

Who else would like to seek for the fake, the bad, and the ugly? Those are people working as a slave to their bodies. Those are people who believe in capital and they would keep themselves in a bitter fight for money and luxuries and finally they will lose all happiness. Money is useful tool, but it needs not to be a slave of it.

Point 3:  Be A Real Soul

If for everything you have the conviction that you are a soul, then be a real soul.

If you are a religious person, be a real religious person. If you are an artist, be a real artist. Be a real one instead of a fake one. Be a real scientist and you will not deny your wisdom, be a real politician and you will not lie to your people, be a real business man and you will find real success.

This is conviction upon conviction. If you have the conviction that you are a soul not a corruptible body, then you will build up another conviction that you are real. This is the answer for almost all human problems. Any time if you have found you were cheating, that meant you had succumbed to the unreal bodies. Losing conviction is the reason for fear. A real soul is fearless, nothing can harm a real soul. A real soul is free. People with a conviction of their free soul create wisdom.  

Point 4:  Enjoy Life

Life is enjoyable, yet foolish people did not know this. Everything in life is enjoyable, from a breath of air to the early sunshine, any moment is memorable, if you can recall them. A glass of plain water is enjoyable, yet people are not satisfied and need a silver cup to drink and a gold toilet to flush.  Many wise people had taught us before. A gold coffin cannot put people at rest while Mozart one of the most beautiful human can only have a burial in nowhere.  A real soul needs not a gold coffin, only rotten bodies need them.

Our souls are real, the bodies are not. They are corruptible and cannot last. Only a real soul can last.

You can enjoy life with a soul. 

One important task for education is to teach children how to enjoy life. There is a beauty in everything of our life. Work is enjoyable, dream is enjoyable. Many things are enjoyable. Stupid people do not know this, they are soulless and they cannot find beauty in daily life, they can only find satisfaction in money, without knowing that ugly things can only give them fake satisfaction.

Material oriented philosophy is the source of foolishness. Yet we need them, pity them and love them. They were our yesterday. If all people are wise, then the world will be too balanced to survive.

Point 5:  To Serve and to Fight

To Serve is the most important concept about human. We must consider everything as a whole and not an individual, then we will know why we need to serve. If you are to serve the people, you must know the real reason of it. One is not only part of a whole but it is the whole. One drop of water is water. To serve is the best way of life.

We need not only to serve the people, but to fight for the people.

The world is never balanced. Negative power wants to ruin the future of our life. Without a concept to fight for the well being of the people is dangerous. All souls want peace, but the peace must be maintained in huge effort. Peace is a working goal for mankind, not a waiting goal.

The concept of fighting is extremely important. If one is not to fight for the people, then one is not to serve the people. Those are people who wants to be served.    

We are real souls.

Real souls seek the true, the good and the beautiful with love. Love emerges from fighting together. They wanted to serve the people and fight for the people. They know how to enjoy life.

A real soul is the source of wisdom.

They might possibly reach the other shore.

Point 6:  The unknown of life

a.   Who light up my life?  or Where is my life energy from?

There was a story about two sisters. When the doctor help deliver the elder baby from her mother's womb,  the elder baby was dead.  The doctor put aside the dead baby and continue to help deliver the second baby from her mother's womb.   The second baby cried loudly,  and suddenly the dead baby cried.  It seemed the dead baby was lit up also.  The dead baby gained life in that moment.

Who gave us the life force?  And we must be honest to tell each other,  that it is unknown. 

What we can be certain is that  that there is a source of the life force.

b.   Where are we going after life?   If  life is a soul,  then where would the soul be going after the death of the physical body?   And we must be honest to tell each other that this is a question we do not know.

And the next thing we can be certain is that when people are fully engaged in their life,  this is not a concern for them.  They don't care.  There are many of them in history all over the world.

What Are We?

Are we dreams? This is the thought occurred to me when I was 11 years old.  I lost my mother suddenly. I was in the funeral parlor and that was a bright sunny day. The sun was so hot and bright that I could not believe it was a dream. 

If we are not dreams, then are we souls?

We are the souls which are the commander of our bodies. We know sooner and later all parts of our bodies are exchangeable. I will not be surprised if in a few years later that our whole body can be replaced. Only the souls are not replaceable. But wait, who told you that the soul is not replaceable?

If I am so rich that I can afford to buy a new body, and I am so crazy that I am not satisfied with my soul, and then I decided to replace my soul also. And the Soul Selling Company is so nice to ask me if I want to keep my memory and knowledge, I can decide to replace them together. Wow, can I know who am I ? And the shopper told me, it is easy like changing the license plate of my car. That means I can have a new body, a new memory, and a new soul. And the question remains essential. What am I going to do with my new life? Did I change my life already? If every thing is so easy, then what kind of career should I choose? Can I choose my spouse? Can I choose my parents? And one final question, can I choose my fate? And I knew that is not for me to choose, as I knew that fate is the interaction of people and happenings. That is not for an individual to decide. Then who can decide my fate? It is only by this very moment; I feel a little disappointed. If I cannot decide my fate, then one thing is for sure. Human kind is not to decide their own fate also. What will happen?

These questions seemed interesting, but they are irrelevant now. I would if I could in the future turn it into a small piece of entertainment. Some may like to know more about the fate of the poor guy who had given up his soul as well as his body, and acquired a new knowledge and memory in a new soul and new body.

Now the most important question is What Are We?

Human beings were fighting without any knowledge about themselves. They didn't know what they are and where they are. If they have a little more awareness about this, they would think otherwise. 

What are we?

We are souls more than bodies. And our souls are not unrelated. They are a great soul. They could be seen not only in space, but in time. And even in some unknown dimensions. We must be multi-dimensional. We are not the actual size of a length and width and even weight. We are living in time. All our past ancestors are actually one of us. And I guess we are connecting to some unknown source with unknown waves. That would be another dimension. You can forget about it but if you are not aware about it, you will have a bad time in the coming time. 

What does it mean by the soul?  Why do you say we are souls more than bodies? 

Yes, indeed it was observed by many brilliant souls before us. Shakespeare was but one of them. He is with us always. What is a Rose?  A rose is its perfume. 

What is a human being?  A human being is its result on the planet plus the universe and some unknown sphere.

Some of the human beings are interested in many things, they are seeking the truth, the good and the beautiful. They might have a feeling that the final results are hidden behind those items. 

Why are they doing so? 

Its because they have a feeling. They must have felt it. It is the inner feeling of love. 

If you have the feeling of love, you will feel uneasy without doing more.

To put it in a simple way, that is why we need to serve.

We are not to be served; we are to serve. This brilliant teaching is still with us. It is built inside our soul. It is my soul or your soul. 

What are we? 

We are souls more than bodies. We are love more than money. 

And I know it for sure, some might find this irrelevant. They would say so what, and go away.

The United States is fighting with China and her friends, they wanted to destroy the unwanted and something unpredictable will happen.

Where are we?

Most people will never ever think of this question. Ignorance is common. It is a question always remain unanswered. However, a little awareness can keep us awake. 

Where are we?

We have no map. We can never sure the real position of our planet in the universe. It is because, even our universe is an unknown. We can not know whether our universe is within a much bigger space. 

It is the same as we cannot know what is the tiniest particle. Everything can be divided into even smaller parts. Its an unending quest. 

We are living in a certain "level" of the levels. We will not know how many layers of levels upon or below us. We will not know what level we are in. 

There are two kinds of levels, I suppose. 

One is material and the other spiritual. 

That means we are living in a level of material world, and in a level of our total wisdom. If you consider our wisdom in a total form, you will know where the limits are. Some of us will be smarter and they will know more. However, in the form of a total wisdom, we as human beings can only come to the understanding of all secrets in life to a limit like present. And there will be a total wisdom of many levels ahead of us.

Temporary success and affluence had made people proud of themselves. They believed they were aristocratic and more noble then others. It would lead to failure because they did not know where the wealth come from. 

First you must know the whereabouts within your own level, then you can have the standpoint to quest upon other levels. Those who failed to know their location in the living level, can hardly be successful.    

We are living in a huge mystery.  We would not know what level we are in. The levels are an infinitive for us all. 

In such a  mystery, one question is vital. 

Who is in control of all these?

It seemed natural or old fashioned to believe if you know who is in control, you can do everything to please the controller and you will have some reward. And some would deny the controller. They would in turn ask another question:  What is in control? Or what is the law of everything?

It is not meaningless to discuss about all these. However, one thing is for sure. We are living in a huge mystery. We do not know where we are and we will not know what our total fate will be. 

What OUGHT to be done then?

It seemed not a very difficult question to answer. 

You need to survive. 

To survive you must have wisdom.

To have wisdom you will love each other. 

And you will be aware and quest for the truth.

Why is the Yellow River cleared?

It is another biggest myth of China. 

The Yellow River had been yellow for thousands of years. But in the long run of Chinese History, it was said that Yellow River had turned green for 43 times. 

It meant, in a situation of Old China, Yellow River could still be cleared without any water and soil conservation work done. And it is difficult to explain. The longest time for a green river happened in 1727 which had been lasted for 20 days. And this time, Yellow River was cleared of its mud and sand for almost 20 years. Is it a result of conservation work completely? Though it was said that the conservation work is not a prove for the guarantee for the absolute safety of the River. The thickness of the Huangtu Plateau is about 100 or more meters, if super heavy rain were coming, nothing can stop the sand from washing down into the river to make it wild. The River still had a very big chance to run off-course. 

Now we have two issues here. One is why. Why the water is cleared? Where do the sands gone?

Two is how. If the river run off-course again, how can the Chinese people predict it and prevent the disaster to happen? It is not the task for the bright and brilliant future young scientists, it is a task for present. All weak points must be mapped in a super computer and a simulation of the off-course river running should be made, then the Chinese people could see how should they handle it. You will know where would the River be running by simulation. The Chinese might had done a computer simulation long ago, and it is indeed very good.  

But this is the second and easier part only. 

The more important part is in the why question. Are there any extra causes clearing the Yellow River?

This could be the turning point of science. And I do hope Chinese scientists could find out something new in Physics. Will there be another strange force hidden beneath the Planet like our Qi in the human body, which is moving and it is now right below the Huangtu Plateau (Loess Plateau) which have a tremendous force on the sands and drawing them sink into the river bed? If this force is found, there will be a true revolution of the modern science. I hope young people in China can aware of this problem and know the importance of it. We are all working under the old formats of Western science built too long ago. Now is the time to reveal the true value of them.

What is the best way to do away the global disaster?

It is a truly global disaster. Human beings had never experienced it before. All other disasters were local problem which can be handled. We hope the scale of this global disaster can be limited and controlled, if a method was found to handle it. Up till this moment, no one can predict the aftermath of this event. It could lead to other disasters and no one can foresee the future scenario. There will be unexpected happenings. Governments and political systems are so fragile and a major reshuffle can be predicted if the disaster is not going away soon. I hope it is not a threat from Mother Nature to push us into another stage of evolution. We are forced to improve ourselves.

There are two different type of thinking habits on this planet. One being left-brain oriented, they are best at counting and measuring and can see things in an external and material way. The other being right-brain oriented, they can see things from a total aspect and use more intuition and would like direct trying on events. To put it very simply and straight forward, we would say it is the different approach of the West and The Chinese. The Chinese way is not the Eastern way. It is a long story and we shall discuss it later, if we still have time before the disaster is gone. 

Chinese medicine is totally different from traditional Western medicine. But we can see during this disaster, Chinese people were using mainly Western method. They seldom mentioned Chinese medicine in the treatment. It is not easy to know the results of the Chinese medicine in the treatment. 

I had read a story from the internet that a Chinese medicine doctor said he had cured 18 patients by using a kind of meridian point injection. He chose only 4 of the meridian points and injected a little of some simple medicine like Phenol into it. All 18 patients were healed. He said he had kept a complete medical record.  However, some said he was lying and did not believe him.    

I do hope what he had said is true as the Chinese medicine and meridian point injection are much easier and a lot cheaper.  Not every country can afford the costly Western medical machines. How many breathing machines and ECMOs can you find in all Europe and, will they be enough for all the Covid-19 patients in one single country like Italy? If a cheaper and effective treatment was found, we are  saved.

What is the point here?

The point is the Chinese people have not taken it serious enough to monitor and test the Chinese medicine methods. Only examined methods can be accepted. If the Chinese people wanted to help, first they must gain the trust of the world.  

If they could find out a method to handle the epidemic, and the method was tested and accepted, everything will be different. 

Is it a management problem?  People would say the above mentioned doctor is a cheater, but there is no prove. What if he is honest and his method useful? To see it from a management side, it could easily be seen that the doctor did not have any authority approval or disapproval for his method. He is being neglected. It seems that powers are on the hands of Western medicine people in Beijing and the Chinese medicine people have not much power to decide things. On a management level, The Chinese should set up a system to quickly find out a treatment method for the Covid-19.  Will there be specific remedy for the treatment? When so many of the patients were treated and cured, there must be a medicine for them. And it seemed the treatment were mainly Western. What about the Chinese method? It is certain that all other treatments including the meridian and acupuncture methods should be tested quickly for an urgent and global need.  Results should be examined by the authorities and let everyone know which is useful and which is in doubt. 

It is a management problem more than a medicine problem for the time being.

   

There might be other problem besides management problem. Political problem could be another big issue which has determined the present situation.  

It is not a big surprise to see if the matter is from a different view of the political powers. If so, China is in a bigger threat than the virus.
