The myth of China is in a poem. It was supposed to be the best poem in China. Or the best of its kind in China. The great poet Li Bai once exclaimed when he first read the poem in the Yellow Crane Tower, "I have nothing to say about the beauty of the scenery here, it was all said by Cui Hao." And indeed, no one had written a better poem then Cui Hao.  

What had Cui Hao written? Why is it so good? Is it true it's the best poem?

It is all because, the poem carried a myth of China, and the myth is in a form of beauty in the poem.  

I shall translate the meaning of the poem here. 

The man was left riding a yellow crane

Remain was the empty building of yellow crane

Never returned oh ye crane

For a thousand years, white cloud floats on the empty vain 

Sun too bright on the river and Han Yeung trees too vividly clear

Fine grasses on the Island of Parrots were melancholy dear

The sun was set yet I know not where to go here

Floating on the waves a sad mood was near

And of course, it is an excellent poem in its original old Chinese form. The poem had raised an issue and the issue was so strikingly true and pierced into the hearts of those who really cares.

It is a feeling of lost. 

But what had been lost? 

Is it a guiding spirit that had been here with the Chinese but lost forever? 

Who am I? Where did I come from? What am I going to do? Many questions remain unanswered.

The Chinese were left alone empty handed. The ancient spirit has been gone.

It is a kind of a sadness that can never be brushed away, if you have really felt it. It was like the sunny trees. It was so vividly clear to you, that you are lost. You saw the trees and you know it is all true and your fate cannot be revised. It was written and it was painted like the trees on your eye. And they seemed to be living in an island of parrots. Fine people have nothing to say, while the parrots were noisy. The feeling was very clear. Li Bai must had been in the same feeling that he was suddenly dumped and suffocated. He cannot say anything. He closed his mouth and put down his pen. 

It was the feeling of an orphan in the contest of old Chinese culture. Modern Chinese culture is not like that, but the old wound had been a feeling never brushed away.

The most important teachings had been lost. What had been left was a few of the ancient stories and broken materials. 

There were two losts in Chinese culture. One was natural lost and the other artificial lost. The old Chinese culture was willfully rewritten and replaced by the rulers secretly since Zhou dynasty. Only the works of Confucius was left free. There were no books to read, as said by the author in the Dream of the Red Chamber. 

If some people do not agree on the artificial lost of the Chinese culture, they cannot deny the real and natural lost of Chinese culture.

Many of the science and knowledge brought into these days are without source. It seems that the Creator had left but luckily a manual was kept. The Chinese knowledge about the human body was just like a manual from the Creator, or a very wise alien from outer universe. Those who studied Chinese medicine found the Meridian points were so wonderfully designed and constructed, yet no one really knows where did they come from. 

If by chance we have a manual of the human body, what about the soul? Do we have a manual about the soul also? 

It seems that the real guidance had been left. And he was flown away by a yellow crane. 

And my point is that one ought to be happy, if one knows the situation that there is really a lost. If the lost be admitted and confirmed then the lost is not a lost. The missed truth can be recovered or recreated if you are aware of it. 

I went to see the Yellow Crane Tower recently. And I had written a poem about it. 

It was like this:

Second visit of the building of yellow crane

Loneliness is but emptiness as a feeling

It is more empty like thousand year clouds floating

Parrots are happily noisy while the bird was diminishing

A very bright river highlights the missing

Water flows for a return

Millions of birds, left or right and everywhere flying

Victories are knowing and searching

Celebration, oh my gloden crane, when you are back coming

A note by the writer

Staying in China is a happy moment. Especially when I visited the Tower of the Yellow Crane. It seemed you are talking with the old friends, and they are so talkative, you feel lonely no more. Politics are not my interest, I never like to read the political news about HK, though friends are busy updating them for me. Literature and music are a beautiful time. I am never bored with the poems.

 I was staying in a hotel room near the river of Gan in Jiangxi. Its a grand view indeed, you will see how the river flows from south to north.  Its final destination is a grand lake of Po Yeung. The lake is so big, you will think you are in the Eastern sea. 

By the river side, there is a highway. Not every camera is interested to point at those cars in the highway. The river is so striking, your thoughts are all there and neglected the highway.  There are very few ships, but lots of cars. 

One thing you will observe about the cars are that they are very slow. If you spotted one and see how it goes from the far south to the far north, it needs a time more than you can endure. 

From the view of a high rise building, the cars are slow. But once you are by the side of the cars, they were running beasts speeding by your side.

Its like the moon on top of that night. The moon seems motionless, but she is running in a speed ten times the speed of a fast train in China. 

Yet she is very slow in a far away view.  

It is the same with the modern politics. 

Every one were so busy fighting each other. They would work round the clock to get things done. 

But actually they are very slow, from the eyes in a higher place. 

Can I speed up myself ?  Can I run faster and faster?

Its basically impossible. We are living in a clock of evolution, not in a clock on a  wall. 

We will all be evolving. And there are different appoaches of the evolution. 

We will suddenly remember the war between Greece and Persia two thousand or more years ago. Its only yesterday, from the clock of evolution. 

Alexander the Great defeated Persia in an extremely short time. People were amazed about his talent, and his talent was from his teacher, who was Aristotle. Is it a war of culture? Is it a war of how the wise Western culture defeated the Eastern culture? Is different culture an aim to make war to? 

Culture is not a reason for wars. Its only a tool. by the time of Alexander, their fighting weapons were more or less the same. But they have different brains. Alexander knew logic and mathematics, and the Persians didn't.

People nowadays wonder how the history goes.  Will there be a war between the US and China? Who will win the war? 

The US is not necessary a representative of the Western culture. If you see it in a deeper view, you will find out there is actually no philoshophy in the United States. There are many learned philosophers with PhDs in the States, but there is no philosophy. The President is too wise to need a philosopher, he needs no logic either. This is one important finding we must bear in mind that the United States need not be a symbol of the Western Culture. 

As for China, the question is whether the Chinese have some philosophy also? May be and may be not. Its because the Chinese is not so much materialistic as the United States. But time is fast and time is short. We cannot in this stage to judge whether the Chinese will be more materialistic like their counterparts in the West. 

I had tried my luck in China recently. 

I wish to publish my two small books in China. I dare not to approach Shenzhen which is too close to Hong Kong. I choosed a far away place. It was a Hei Long Jiang province publication house I tried to aproach to. The editor seemed nice and easy to talk to. But things happened two days later. He refused to answer my call and never return my message in wechat. What had happened?  Is it the work of the underground power in Hong Kong? I can only bitterly smile. 

I am a song writer. A song writer needs singers. I happened to find out some singers in Jiangxi. They are music students in a music college here in a big university. We had a good time singing together. However, the same happened recently. At least two of the singers refused to sing for me. What is the matter? Was the power so powerful to follow me already? There are so many songs from Hong Kong here in China; yet one writer was refused. 

I wondered not in the present situation, but history.

For a very long time in China, many important works had been willfully rewritten. Not a single ture copy of the 'Water Margin Stories' or  'A Journey to the West' can be found. They were almost completely rewritten according to the wills of the secret powers in the past. The situation have been a topic in my other bigger books, though they can never reach the readers.    

If there will be a true fighting between the United States and China, there will be a confused fighting. It may not be a war like you saw in cinemas. 

You need not to kill your enemy with a nuclear weapon, however, there will be winners and losers anyway.

The clock of evolution still runs. From the short term view, things seemed so strikingly true, and so strikinglty painful,  but from a far away view, you will see how history will go. The true beauty is always there, waiting for you, like in the cinemas.

Mr. Trump is now dreaming about a peace prize, and it is not a secret. For an unknown reason, people are delaying the announcement. He will get it sooner or later, yet people are reluctant to announce it. It is completely different from Mr. Barack Obama. Mr. Obama got the prize almost simultaneously with his inauguration date. The peace prize people did not delay it.

There is no reason given why Mr. Trump has to wait.

And he managed to have the endorsement from Mr. Shinzo Abe, the Japanese Prime Minister.

It seems now, if he had one more important endorsement, he will surely made it.

Will Mr. Xi from China be willing to endorse him?

Mr. Trump is a fast gunner. He takes action quick. However, to have the endorsement from Mr. Xi is no easy matter.

Fast gunners can take short term actions fast. However, they cannot change a mindset overnight.

He has been thinking China is a threat. And he cannot change it easily. He would take the Cheap War seriously and will never consider a stop about that. He is slow regarding to such matters.

However, if one President is not changing, another will. He had only a few years more for the impossible dream.

There is a line in the wisdom of China:

The tree wishes to have a peaceful time but the wind never stops. 

You can only live with the wind. There will be no rest for the tree. The only peaceful time of the tree is to swing with the wind. 

It is a little sad for the situation, yet it is beautiful.

What is a Cheap War?  20190420

It  is a big mistake to name such wars Cheap. It could be not cheap at all. It could cost more than nuclear war heads, fast planes and invincible war weapons. However, we still use the name Cheap War to denote such a new era of our history.

We had a hot war before, then a cold war. Now it is not hot and not cold, but Cheap.

You would see how a big country change completely from one form of paradigm to another.  

The leaders would wakeup from a sweet dream that they were supported by the people, then they found suddenly people were against them. They could be overturned overnight.

No expensive war machines were used. You don't see airplanes dropping bombs but angry people throwing stones only. How cheap is a stone? It costs nothing, however, it is powerful enough to throw away leaders. It needs no big money to replace them.

It could be cheap, however, it could cost big money in a secret budget.

It could turn a whole country up-side-down. Busy leaders won't have a time to think about this. Most of them were above the ground, they could only see figures and read fake reports. They won't have the real scenario in their mind. They didn't know thoughts are changeable.

You would never see how an elephant die from cancer. They didn't know the cells had deteriorated completely. And it is only skin deep. Smiles were also skin deep,  yet only a smiling face is acceptable.

We had mention Chairman Mao before. We had said he was an idealist. However, we could have never known why he had to start the Cultural Revolution. Is it only to bring out an ideal? It must be more than that. Yet the history facts are not easy to uncover. It should be the task for future historians, but I doubt that would be too late.

We would like to mention two forms of new history style here.

The First History Style is Group Evolution. China and the United States were competing for a better evolutional result. China is taking a position for an internal organization for their country, while the democracy system is external. An internal country is like a big tree. Each one is grown into a big life. Yet the democracy system is externally incorporating all the units in a commercial organization. It is a very clear vision if you can look at the present situation this way. The Chinese system is not perfect and need to evolve more in a longer time, yet the democratic system could be more open and acceptable.

The question is which of the system is better? We need an answer not from the scholars, but  from a longer view point from evolution.

The Second History Style is how they fight each other. Or how they compete with each other.

We would never like to see the nuclear weapon being used. It might be  the proof of real stupidity of human beings. However, they were smart to invent a new form of Cheap War for us.

Yet people would never know, the real essence of a Cheap War is to turn the other country people into stupidity.

Let their people never evolve into anything. Let them eat heartily and let them enjoy all forms of dirty sex pleasure. Could it be cheaper for a stupid country to be overturned this way?

One last question is that nuclear war could be possible for stupidity only. Now the countries were working very hard towards this goal of stupidity.

Smart people need to alert themselves.

How to choose between the powers?

It is not easy for the smaller countries to choose, or to take sides. Every one must have the best tactic to survive between the whales. You are just like a small boat swimming beside the big whales. They are crushing each other and you are in between of them.

Can you simply slip away?

Everyone is looking upon the late leader of Singapore. He had the best tactic.

And he would not tell you in his books.

Many had read three or four times of his great book. But you have to read behind not the lines, but the inner motion of his deeds.

If I were him, I would do it this way.

I will go to the Western powers and tell them, I will have a method to contain China for you. Let me do the talking and you will do the rest.

Then I will go to talk with the Chinese leaders. I will be friend of China. I will tell them the techniques of the Western way to run the Government, tell them how to build their economy.

I am the only one who claimed to be friend of China and still trusted by the West.

I am not swimming between the whales.   I am riding on them and manipulate them.

With such a method, I will stay rich for 50 years and no more.

And it is temporary tactic only.

You need not to know which of the powers is truly rich and more importantly, truly reliable. It is so simple and you need not an idea so simple. Even though you have the lucky chance to stay away the crushing danger, but still, what you need is to know the inner turth about them.

You need to know not how rich they are, but how did they come to such a state. You need not to know who is going up and who is going down, but the real difficulties in them.

Yes China is going up, but there are inner difficulties. And the US is getting down, but they will remain a great power for a time longer than you can expect.

How did the confrontation started?

The first condition is that you need to have two balanced powers to face each other. Otherwise, it is not confrontation, but conquest. Not balanced powers can hardly compete with each other.

Since when did China become such a big power to face the West?  Some would say it was in 1978, it was by that time, China had had a chance to be rich in a short time.

It was only by then that China had become a real threat to the eyes of some people.

They simply cannot see the real motivation of China. They can never understand the real aim of China.

China had tried every means to avoid confrontation with the US. But why?  

We need to go back to the starting point to see the situation.

Since the ancient time, the Chinese were seeing things from inside, while their Western counterparts chose to see it from outside.

And then they have different tools.

The Chinese used bamboo to write down their most important findings, while the Egyptians whom the US people inherited were using stone.

Can a piece of stone last longer or bamboo? The answer is bamboo. You can copy many times until the findings were in your memory or your culture; while the Egyptians could only leave the stones to the sun.

With stones the Western people found alphabet, which was important for the left brain; with bamboos the Chinese found another special way to mark the words which was a tool for the right brain. And that leads to different ways, one seeing things from outside while the other see things from within.

Thousands and thousands of years had lapsed and now the different methods were still not balanced. The Chinese had simply found the western external way easier to make money.

The introverts were never as competitive as the Western extroverts. To balance the two, I guess, need more time. And I cannot tell would it be hundreds or thousands of time needed.  

The confrontation here is not real confrontation of different culture, but powers only.

The Chinese had chosen the methods of the West, while their manner defers. The Chinese are not eager to conquer like the Romans. To conquer is a manner, but the way to see the nature of the world, is a method. It is difficult to comprehend, but our readers are wise. To make a phone is a method, to make war is a manner.

The Chinese had tried desperately to avoid confrontation. Maybe they knew from their inner sense that this confrontation is meaningless. Their aim is simple. They wish to have a chance to share the cultures with the West.

They hope to live happily together, work together and get rich together, with everyone.  

The Chinese will not lose the battle, anyway.

As we can see, the inner wisdom of China had not been fully developed. Up till now, human wisdom is to see the world from outside only.

If by one day, we can see the truth of human beings from both inside and outside, it will be a time of real fortune for everyone. And the real confrontation, if there will be any, will be more meaningful.

China has walked its path for at least 5000 years. United States has no less. US is the successor of the Western Culture; they are same with the Greeks and Romans. They are the heir of a great culture which seems more advanced than the Chinese.

We can see huge plates were forming like the Earth's crust. China has come into being through numerous breakdowns and re-compositions. However, The Chinese Culture has one big setback that made them lacking behind.

They are mostly introverts and right-brain oriented. The design of the whole Chinese Culture was a kind of organizations like a living being. Being introverts and being right-brain oriented were not a setback, but the lack of self-realization is. They have very good language and very good knowledge about the Universe and the human body, however, they had not study enough about that. The Chinese medicine and its practice could bring in huge profit globally yet the Chinese were not investing enough for a huge success.  

What they are choosing is the same method of the West. They were trying everything in an external way. They are observing the Universe in an external eye.

That means, the two large piece of Earth curst were merging together in a similar pattern. The Chinese has said they will not be another America. However, we can see that they are making another 5G phone which is similar to the 4G.

And it is very advantageous for the Chinese. It is because, for an introvert to learn things from an external view is easy, while it is very difficult for extroverts to see things internally.

Whatever will be, will be. Will the two pieces of Earth's crust melt together peacefully or not?

The only answer is, things will happen.

Will there be a war ?

Sincere people hope that politicians will use their mental power to avoid a war. But I doubt that. As we have not been evolved enough. It must be very high consciousness to make that decision. They will not choose the option to live happily together with one and other in the present time.  

There will be war.

Before the war, they will try to dry up each other.

Though the chance for Military War is slim, but it cannot be neglected.

They will try other option. A Cheap War is more powerful than the Trade war. The Trade War is false, but the Cheap War is real.

China had very limited control over the media in Taiwan and Hong Kong. The Cheap War tactics were so successful there, the younger generation are so confused, that the situation is full of crises.

A successful Cheap War will lead to Military War.

The Trade war will be over very soon. Business leaders are well aware of that. A fortune is there waiting for clever people now, at least, before the unwanted Military War happens.

How can you know China is much stronger?

Napoleon had tried to beat Russia. Now the same is with President Trump. I had said some times ago, that Trump is very similar with Napoleon. Their personality are very much the same. Even the way they talk and the manner they treat others, were similar.

Russia is strong not only in their vast land, but in the Russian mind. It is not easy to name someone who is greater than Tolstoy and Peter the Great.

Can a small army general like Napoleon understand that? If Napoleon can be a little wiser,  he would not be end up so tragically. What Napoleon can see is his temporary power, which was limited in his army which was in his own eyes, a mighty army.

What he could not see was the unseen.

Yes we must put the unseen into consideration. It was same with the US and China. If they can foresee the unseen, they will be better off.    

Yes China is much stronger. Much stronger than anyone can expected.

However, China is also very weak. They are weak in the unseen also. In that case, President Trump can be sure about himself more, if he really knows what is going on.

How can the tortoise beat the wolf ?

When tortoise papa addressed the meeting of tortoises, no one bothered to listen. And no one believed him. May be he was too philosophical which in the language of tortoise meant not practical. And he was too slow. As the wolf was near, every one wished to beat the wolf quickly and chase him out. They hope to have a peace time like before. That is why the tortoises were having a meeting, to discuss how to handle the situation urgently.

Tortoise papa said, you ought to remain a tortoise to beat the wolf. And that was funny. Am I not a tortoise? How do I "remain" a tortoise?

Tortoise papa had explained the idea many times. He thought that was the only way to survive the attacks of the wolf. However, few of the tortoises believed him. They thought it is better to have the teeth of the wolf. Some of the tortoises believed that it was their natural defect to have no teeth. They have only beaks. Teeth seemed to be the only remedy for the tortoises. And they meant it. They managed to buy some teeth from the neighborhood store of the fox. The fox sold them some artificial teeth, which was as sharp as a knife and as white as a chalk. When it was installed in the mouth of a strong and young tortoise, every tortoise were happy, especially the female tortoises. They thought the teethed tortoise was extremely handsome. They had never seen a tortoise armed with such beautiful teeth before.  The fox did make a fortune selling artificial teeth, as it was now a popular wear of the young tortoises. 

It was almost at the end of the meeting and the wolf did come. Every body fled except the tortoise papa. He was too slow and too old to run. Sets of artificial teeth was left on the ground. The young tortoises were running too fast and dropped them. 

The wolf did spot the teeth. He laughed. "What, did you mean to fight me with this toy teeth?"

Tortoise papa groaned. He did not argue with the wolf. He just tugged away the tail and limbs from the wolf.

The wolf felt insulted. He was very angry. He tried to bite the tortoise. But his teeth were not strong enough to break the shell of the tortoise. He kept sniffing the tortoise, trying to find out the weak points of the tortoise. Actually he was sniffing and circling the tortoise repeatedly. He knew the tortoise will stick out something sooner and later. He was waiting a chance to bite when the tortoise was tired and relaxed. Tortoise papa was highly alerted and remain firm like an iron heap. Now the wolf changed a tactic. He sniffed the tortoise patiently. He wanted to know which part is which and was trying to locate an attacking point. He was delighted to find out the nose of the tortoise. As he had found different smell from that point. He kept sniffing the nose of the tortoise. And suddenly at a split second the tortoise stuck out his head and bite. Not every one can predict such speed from a tortoise. The tortoise had bitten the nose of the wolf and he was keeping his beak so tight that it was said the tortoise will release the bite only when there is a thunder strike. The wolf tried to release himself from the heavy beak of the tortoise but failed. He was so painful that he was yelling like a baby and fled the scene. He was running so fast and he did not realize until a distance that he was carrying the tortoise to run. The tortoise was hanging under his nose swinging comfortably when he was running. The wolf had never had such an experience of huge pain that he was running faster and faster and he did not notice his nose was gone completely together with the tortoise somewhere.  

The tortoise rolled silently to the roadside with a large piece of fresh meat from the wolf. He had found the most delicious part of the wolf. It was the nose. It was soft and tasty.  He had seldom enjoyed a good time like this before.    

The other tortoises gathered and all agreed that you have to be yourself always.

What is bully?

First, the one who bullies others is a coward, and a failure. He cannot compete with those who is many times better than him, he could only choose the tactic to bully. It is only natural response from a weak person.

A weak person is happy to see anyone who is weaker than him. He would bully the weak just to show his is superior. He has got nowhere to show his superiority, he can only bully the weak.

And sometimes he would see someone who is deeply stirring for him. He knew he could never compete with such person. What can he do?

He can form a circle of friends just to isolate the one he envies. That is why talented people are always lonely, they are the target of bullying. Many of them are beaten or ill treated by their peers.

Now the US is trying to bully China.  They have trade war, and cheap wars for China.  

It is interesting to see the final outcome.

China is like a tree; it is an internally organized country, while the US is externally built.

What is the weakest point in a tree?

Some believe that a tree is strong. They believe trees would never die.

However, we must use some reasoning power to ponder about this.

The weakest point of a tree is that it can never change itself.

Can a tree turn itself into a fish?

Or can a fish change itself into a bird?

No way. Though ancient philosopher Zhuang Zi had pointed out that a big fish can change into a big bird long ago. But I doubt 0.01 percent of the Chinese people had read about that. And my books have got very few readers. They are give away items, I cannot publish them.

All external items could be excluded from the body of a tree. Though I think my books are not external. Cells in a tree are always cells for a tree. You will not find a birds cell in a tree, though birds did build their home on a tree.

External system is another story. You can keep many things in a brick house. And you can change. You can build something else whenever you feel like. You can build a ship, a plane, or anything else to live in.

External things can change, while internal things cannot.
