屈原是不是太過清高?

 「清高」二字,是傳統中國文化網絡中的一種元
素。到底中國的負面文化中,有多少這樣的元素?真
是值得細想。

宋朝的儒家份子朱熹,在他編的《楚辭集注》中
提到,屈原此人太偏激(越過了「中庸」的標準),所以,
屈原的行為,是不可以為法,也不可以為訓的。

朱熹所編的書中,把不是屈原的偽作品「漁父」
編入,並明言:「漁父者屈原之所作也。」。(李察按,
「漁父」是偽著,是學者陸侃如等人的見解。)


漁父中的意思,其實是很簡單。做人只應該有粥
吃粥,有飯吃飯。就像滄浪之水那樣:

滄浪之水清兮,可以濯吾纓。
滄浪之水濁兮,可以濯吾足。


這幾句明明諷刺屈原的話,就被儒家學者放進屈原
口中,當是屈原自己說的了。

屈原是不是太清高,或太蠢呢?

還是他沒有守中庸之道,太激了一點?

李察昨文提到:


「漁父」的作者譏諷屈原,說他太清高,說做人應該
隨和些。其實屈原完全不是清高。他只是憂慮。因為,
他看到了眼前的絕對危機,他看到了秦兵即將揮兵直
進,他看到了楚懷王的錯誤國策,他看到了大規模的
悲劇即將來到。他應該「隨和」些嗎?還是堅持說出
真相,把一切化成詩?讓以後兩千年的我們汲取教訓?

他是不是太清高?

Leechard,

No, i do not think 屈原是太過清高. He was concerning the fate of his country, and his countryman only. Such concern, to me, is a natural response of an citizen, whether in office or in private, towards the nation in its declining state. He is right to raise these issues at that time, to alert the people of these dangers ahead, and is right to leave the records of his thought behind, to teach us the lessons which his countrymen has paid very heavily for it.

Were he to be a man of 清高, he could simply build a house in places virtually uninhabited and write essays on the Confusican ideas, on telling people to accept the fate of nations and states, which is already set and cannot be changed by any manpower and will. But that is not the road chosen by him, and the man who have chosen that road is not 屈原, the famous writer in Warring period of Eastern Zhou, and who, with his writings and his story, is still influencing many writers, thinkers in later generations, including the present time.
