What is the difference of "self" and "life"?
"Life" is a borrowed energy which is always mistaken as an eternal unit which is belonged to the "self".
People would say: "my life belongs to me".......
It would be more easy for anyone to handle the problem if the difference of a "self" and a "life" is known.
"Life" is a borrowed energy which you can use. The energy is not yours forever. You need to give it back when the time comes.
What remains is the "self".
And the "self" can exist nowhere except in the memories of some people who happens to know you.
And the best part of the "self" is in its efforts.
It is in the work you have done.
If you have smiled to a bird, that smile will remain a long time. Because a smile is an effort and an effort cannot be eliminated through time.
Therefore, we can say: the "self" is an effort and it can last, though the "life" which the "self" lives on is borrowed and have to return to its place and its not the business of the "self".
The "self" is an effort while the "life" is only a tool for the "self".
And then the question will come: So what?
If a life is in the hands of a good self, then the life will be meaningful and beautiful which cannot be taken away.
That is why, when José Mujica, the late President of Uruguay, said: "You cannot take away what I have had," the real meaning of life and self is shown perfectly together.
That means: you can kill me but you cannot kill José Mujica.
The world has become beautiful because we have so many fearless people.
They will dedicate themselves to creating an even more beautiful world.
