 Had the heavens said anything to us humans?

It is an important question for both the East and the West.

The answer is more than a religious statement.  It could be a deep thought in different aspects of life.

In the Western Bible, they said that there were words spoken by God.

And Confucius in the East said that the heavens has said nothing.

The  spoken words by God  are laws governing the West for thousands of years.

The Chinese people are no less free comparing with the West:   Although the heavens did not say anything,  the politics people,  for example Kings and rulers did.  And in  ancient China, kings are the sons of heaven(天子).

This is not important today.

Important is in the inner feeling.

Do the modern people still have some inner connection with the Unknown?

I would like to use the term "Unknown" instead of    "Gods" or "heavens".

It is very unlikely that the gods will "speak" directly to humans,  but inner feelings are not easy to  deny.

There might be feelings sometimes and it might help in music composing or creative writings....as for commercial or political judgements,  only a fool will be dependant on it.

What is needed in  judgement?

First important is the peace of mind:  quietness needs not be in the hills but in the mind.

Second important is the belief itself.

Do you believe you are on the same side of the evolution?  

Do you believe you are not against evolution?

The third important point will arise naturally:

Do you believe there is some unknown power behind the evolution and the Universe?

And do you believe you are not in any position to say things against it?

Even the most important scientists like Einstein cannot deny it.

However, it's not easy to be in total quietness to feel.

It is only possible when you feel inspired.

Ideas will be rushing in like tides.
