Can a soul be sold?
The question is: Can I sell my soul to earn some money?
There was a famous novel by Gogol: "dead souls".
However people nowadays will doubt whether you can sell your soul.
There are so many bad guys around, but they are not all rich. To sell your soul doesn't mean that you can be rich. Maybe it is the best part of our time:
You will not get rich quickly even if you are a bad guy without soul.
To sell a soul is not easy. It might not be lucrative.
You don't need to sell your soul for money. You can get rich without selling your soul.
What does it mean?
It's opposite to our traditional "faith" that to sell a soul can be rich.
You cannot get rich quickly even if you sell your soul.
The guy will be still a poor bad guy with no money. and without soul.
Perhaps this is the best part of our evolution.
