How important is intuition?

note

The strange editing here is the result of an attack from some unknown source: it could be the work of the secret underground party in Hong Kong.....20250827

(I could not do anything,  need to edit it line by line)

note:

There might be only two types of people. One is the people with intuition. They can sense things quickly through a special channel from within. The other rely on logic and "facts", as they would name it. They will not use intuition to reach for the facts.....

Malimbi:

The Intuition Story
                                 2016.6.15

This is a small incident that happened a few days ago. But from it, one may glimpse the future of humanity.

You may have already read this story in the news. Or you may have felt the same. But today, although still remembered, if we do not bring it up, the story will gradually fade.

At the Cincinnati Zoo in the United States, there are many gorillas. One of them, a 17-year-old male named Malimbi, is deeply beloved by the visitors. He is large in size, weighing about 400 pounds.

One day, around three in the afternoon, he suddenly heard the audience outside scream in sharp, high-pitched shouts. He and two female gorillas wanted to see what was happening. Because, usually, the sound of the audience is different from this moment. The crowd was shouting with almost frenzied emotion.

Animal keepers blocked their way. The two females behaved well and did not go further. But Malimbi ignored the keepers’ warnings. He discovered that in the ditch between the ape enclosure and the audience, there was a small child.

He did not know how a three-year-old child, only about a foot tall, had fallen into it. But the crowd’s shouting made him think that the child might be in danger.

He quickly moved forward and used his body to shield the child from the loud, shouting crowd.

He remained in front of the child for a moment. But the crowd kept shouting. He began to think that he should take the child away from the scene. He grabbed the child; for several seconds they had already moved tens of meters away. Yet they were still in the ditch, and the audience above was shouting. Only then did he have time to look closely at the child. The child seemed to be a very interesting kid. He helped the child stand upright and even adjusted the child’s pants.

But the crowd kept shouting. He did not know what they were shouting, only that it was a very bad sound. He wanted to find a safer position.

He continued to run with the child. They stopped at another place. But he did not realize that the keepers had already arrived and were aiming at him with a rifle.

If his intuition had been stronger, he might have sensed that someone far away was aiming at him. The threat of the gun barrel might have been perceived.

Suddenly a gunshot rang out, and he died. The keepers quickly came, taking the child away.

When facing television cameras, the zoo’s senior staff explained: if the incident happens again, they would still shoot. Because, they said, when a human life is threatened, they would certainly do so.

The incident caused countless people to cry and protest.

That senior staff member could not understand what people were protesting about. Shouldn’t they shoot?

He had worked at the zoo for many years, but he could never communicate with animals. He lacked intuition. He could only observe things from external circumstances.

 He was crippled from within.

 Was this a small matter?

 Of course not.

They can shoot at a Black street vendor with impunity, let alone a gorilla?

Those who lack intuition are, in fact, almost blind. Yet such people hold power. With a gun in hand, it is convenient to do many things.

Wars occur on Earth from time to time, and countless major problems cannot be solved; this is one of the reasons.

 Postscript:

Has Malimbi’s story come to an end? Today, the incident happened not quite two weeks ago, but all the media will not report follow-up news. This matter has lost its teaching value. Only a few people, occasionally, will still remember that there once existed such a gorilla.

If I think this way, I wonder if that incident hadn’t happened in a zoo but somewhere in a jungle in South America, the outcome would have been entirely different.

Malimbi would have adopted the child. He would have tried his best in the jungle to protect the child from harm.

Then, he would educate the child.

This would be the story of the ape-man Taishan. In the past, a French director, François Roland Truffaut, made a film about a wild child rescued in the forest. The story is very similar.

But this is a new Taishan. Because the new Taishan not only has the agility of an ape, he also possesses a very special intuition. It is a kind of wisdom that is rarely found in humans. And this intuition is something that ordinary elementary and middle school education cannot provide.

This is immensely exciting. Because the intuition education that the whole world lacks has suddenly occurred. Malimbi becomes a kind of human’s volunteer tutor. He teaches humans to learn an extremely ancient and extremely important knowledge.

Tell me, where can one learn such knowledge?

If our politicians  possessed this knowledge, the future of the world would be bright.

Actually, it’s very easy. Just watch a few more children’s cartoon stories, and one would become suddenly clever.

But would they want to? Cartoon stories? How absurd.
