8909 Why do people not see the barrier within the barrier? 20160517

It’s similar to the feeling of color blindness: it’s as if you’re living entirely in a black-and-white-gray world, where everything you see isn’t truly real. It’s as if the place you are in isn’t Earth—or maybe it’s hell. Although you’ve tried hard to find the true colors beneath the gray tones, you have no idea what color really means.

But do not mock friends who are color blind. You and I might be exactly the same. Though we see colors with our eyes, we cannot see the beauty behind them. Many people are unaware of what beauty truly is.

If only they could see the beauty within colors, they would have long become masters of their craft.

The barrier exists within everything.

Not only can one not see beauty, but they also cannot see the truth. They feel that this world has never been real. They cannot perceive the connections between things. They believe everything is as it is from the beginning. Their perspective lacks the ability to penetrate deeper. Because, between the world and themselves, there is a kind of barrier. An invisible barrier.

They have fallen into a worse state than color blindness.

If there were no barrier between them and the world, they could be great painters, great musicians, great scientists, great politicians, great businesspeople.

Seeing the relationships between material things—that’s what makes a great scientist. Seeing the connections between markets—that’s what makes a great merchant.

When there is a barrier, it becomes impossible to see.

Many people never cry. Here, what is meant is the intense feeling you experience when you see a connection. You might burst into laughter and joy, or uncontrollably shed tears. These tears are not of sorrow or grievance, but from a powerful震動 (shaking, trembling).

You cry when you see famous paintings. You cry when you listen to music. You cry when you read books. You are unblocked.

Where does the barrier come from?

Every person comes into the world as if wrapped in an eggshell.

You must break the eggshell to see the world.

You must believe that you are one with the world. You have no personal agenda. You are completely unselfish. You do not think of personal interests. With that, the vague, dark fog in your eyes suddenly disappears. It’s as if you’ve put on new glasses. Or suddenly, you’ve become mentally ill.

You are no longer color blind. You can see the beauty of the world.

But there is still a problem here.

Can being unselfish break the barrier?

Is it because of sharp vision that one is unselfish, or because being unselfish sharpens one’s vision?

Which one is the cause?

It’s hard to say.

In the end, it requires effort.

Like a chick pecking through the eggshell to come into the world. If the eggshell isn’t broken, the chick will die inside.

You will also die inside—becoming a living dead, a zombie.

Let’s start from this moment. You may curse Richard as absurd. You may smash the screen. Do you dare? I doubt you dare. Someone who is even pained over a few dollars—what hope do they have?
