Why there are no books to read?
It is one of the most important messages from the "Dream of the red chamber".
....I have no books to read: Thus said Jia Bao-yu.
It means there is no guidance from the Unknown or from the ancestors.
Do not expect to have a good guidance for us human beings.
Do not expect a guidance from the Unknown.
Do not expect to have a real Holy Book from Heavens to guide all the ways.
Humans need to search their own ways by themselves.
Ancestors will give guidance, but it needs not be true.
You need to search on your own.
You need to go your own way.
You can have a good result or you need to bear the consequences.
It means everyone needs to think on their own, and every culture needs to find their own.....
If there is no guidance, will there be a hint?
Yes.
There will be tomorrow, and there will be sunrise, or sunset.
We are going, yet we are coming.
etc and etc.
Whenever you have started to think for the humans and for the universe, you'll find comfort and peace.
