Hong kong is the best place to observe how the cultures merge together.

The English people have been ruling Hong Kong for a long time.   You can see many people who speak English and dress in western style in Hong Kong. But their inner way of thinking is still Chinese.  They use inner patterns to think.

Languages are a big issue in thinking patterns.  But language is not the only factor in thoughts.  Old patterns are hidden.  People feel more comfortable with older thoughts.

Even though marriage cannot change the pattern.  People are very much the same,  not in the external look,  but in the internal mind.

Merging in cultures is a long way.

It can happen in some highly intelligent people, but not all.

Both are using Chinese language,  although  deviations are happening.

Not everyone can be a ghost,  I guess.

If everyone can be a ghost, then there will be lots of ghosts.  The planet will not have enough places to accommodate them.

Ghost stories are not often heard.   Humans are not experiencing ghosts every day.

Therefore, you can be sure that ghosts are not everywhere,  and they are not many, if they do exist.

I imagine ghosts are regional.  Many ghost stories are told by humans,  or created by humans. It seems ghosts are always living in the same area. 

The term "living" is wrong.   Ghosts are only "staying " in the same area but not "living" in the same area according to my imagination.

Why ghosts cannot travel?   My ghost story about a ghost following her hair into my house is merely a personal feeling only.  It is not a proof about ghosts.

Sometimes economy is important. Sometimes politics is important. But the foundation is always in the spirit.

How did I eat my lunch today?

I was  visiting a temple in Thailand.   It was a very common place. It was not a grand temple.   It was a small temple located near the train station.   And I didn't know why I liked it very much. 

There was a coffee shop nearby.   The coffee shop was big and empty.   I was the only one to visit the coffee shop.   I had a cup of Thailand tea in the coffee shop.  The coffee shop lady was wearing a warm smile, which made the place even better.  The tea leaves are different from other places. And the tea was sweetened,   it was quite exotic and suitable for such a mood. 

Afterwards, I visited the temple.   There was a vendor selling noodles inside the temple. And they were about to close because the time is already three o'clock, which was not a lunch hour.

I asked the lady boss,  "can I buy some noodles?"

She opened her eyes wide and looked at me.   I was wondering what was the meaning.   

And then she said suddenly,  "Noodles? Ok!" 

She started cooking at once. 

There was only one table and one chair outside the temple.  It was quite an open area before the temple. 

I was sitting alone and watching the sun shining on the ground.   

Within a few minutes, the noodles were ready.  It was one of my best noodles in my lifetime.   

Actually, it was  plain noodles,   with some pork meat floating on it. Maybe it was due to my good mood,  I found it very  pleasant.  It was a special meal yesterday.  It can hardly be forgotten.  So I noted it down.

When I was eating,  I thought I was eating better than a king.  A king can never come to such a small place,  and a king can never enjoy such solitary entertainment.

How come my mood is so wonderful ?

 It will not be useless if you found it is true that some other parallel world are with you together.

 If there is not a "world"or a paralleled "world", but only a few ghosts,  and they are just existing in our own world,  it would be also stunning,  if it is true and be proved.

I wish to tell what I had seen. 

 I always parked my car in the basement of a building a few blocks away from a funeral parlor in the Island of Hong Kong.

 My car was parked in basement 4.

 When I was driving upwards turning a corner to basement 3,  I saw several people standing behind some parking cars near the wall.

 And I noticed they are entering one of the car which was green.  I was amazed to find that they are entering the car without opening the car doors. I did not notice whether they have shoes on or not.  But actually they were entering the car in a line one by one until all were entered.

 I did not aware they were ghosts.   I only remembered  afterwards.

They were not on the ground and they were not walking.  They were just moving on the air into that car.  They were not flying.  They were only moving.

The next time I drove around there,   I turned on my head lights  trying to see again.   However, there was nothing this time.

I tried many times, trying to see them again.

Sometimes I turned on my headlights,  sometimes I didn't. I only drove past the place quitely.

Nothing happened since the first time.

I told myself,  ghosts were just like that:  If you have an intention to see them, they will not appear.

I believe what I saw was not my illusion.

I believe what I saw was real,   However,  I couldn't see them a second time.

"Intention" is an important factor.

Ghosts will not exist with any intention going on.

Is it only heresy or is it really another world around us?

I just wish to keep the question open.

Many people sweared that they have actually seen them.   Yet nothing was accepted in the general academic circle.

It could be wonderful if another world is there.

It will open up our vision, and we will not be limited in the material world of money.

To put it in another way,  it is a question about ghost.  

Are the ghosts real and are they living in the "other world" parallel to our world?

I must confess this is only my personal experience  and it is not scientific research.

Many people might have such experiences,  I am only one of them.

The first experience is from a secondhand store.

The store was in Prince Edward Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

I actually brought a pack of real human hair from them. It was very cheap,  it was only 12 HK dollars.

At first I thought it was only a pack of wig.

I thought it might be wonderful if I stick the wig into my hat, then the wig will be hanging  behind my head like real.

I was sitting on the edge of my bed when  I was examining the pack of wig.

It was a pack of really fine hair.   I put it in my palm to feel it.   I was thinking how to stick the hair into my hat.

I combed my fingers into the wig and found it were really soft and smooth.  It was like real hair on a female's head.  It must be real hair, and the texture were so fine I almost felt the warmth in it. And suddenly I saw the image of a lady with that hair lying on my bed and her head was sleeping on my thigh and the long hair was with her head still. I was in a quick shock suddenly and I jumped and ran quickly out of my room and the hair was still on my hand.  I ran so quickly and I could not remember if there were other people in my house and I ran straight into the rubbish room and I openned the bucket cover and threw the hair into it, and bang closed the cover.

It was my first ghost experience.

And it was lucky for me that the ghost was not following me back into my room.

I cannot know whether it is only my illusion or a real stimulation from a supernatural being.

I was feeling okay afterwards.  I can sleep well, eat well and work well.

However, this episode stimulated  my thought about the other world.

It seems it is some another world nearby,  but they are not interfering our real world......

If you believe there is a soul,  then you cannot deny there might be a ghost.

It is funny that few people can see a soul while most people cannot deny a ghost.

Some people believe that living people is positively charged.  The more positive they are, the less possibility they can see a ghost.

If it cannot be proved,  people would say its heresy.

And ghosts are not the opposite of angels.  They are simply different type of beings.  Ghosts need not be bad,  when angels are considered good.

I believe I have seen ghosts.   But they are always shy away from me. 

And this is something you cannot search.

It might be the limit of human reason.

You cannot prove everything to believe them.

Dreams are no boundary,   it is the same as imagination.

You can reach a soul through your mind.

But I cannot reach a ghost,  as I have not tried.

Why the Thai people are so gentle?

I think every tourist in Thailand can easily feel the same.

Thai people are gentle and polite always.

Not only the women are gentle, but all people are gentle.

They would give you a warm smile and bow with their folded palms.

I would always try to press my palms together to return, though I was doing it not so natural as them.

I believe this tradition is from the early religion of buddhism.

With this thought in mind, I am very happy traveling around Bangkok.

Thailand is a strong country.   They have never been colonized.  Although I saw beggers in the cities,   but I believe poor beggars were not driven away by police like other places.

And Thai alphabets were wonderful.   They are totally different from the Roman type of alphabets.

I do not know much about their culture and history. 

I saw some workers working on the decoration of temples.   I looked at them and I found they are not like workers,  they were like artists,  they were painting carefully every inch of the walls and  windows, with a kind of honesty that they were creating and were not labouring.

It was about four o'clock in the afternoon.   I saw  golden decorations reflecting sparkling lights from the sun.  Many spots flashing together simultaneously on the roofs of the temple.  I felt something but I cannot know exactly the deeper feelings within.

Why the Thai people are so gentle?   It is important question if you wish to learn more from them.

Can music interfere with your inner strength?

I am afraid the answer is yes.

I am a serious music lover.    I have learned to play musical instruments since I was young.   And I wrote songs.

I always put on music when I was writing.   On some occasions I was weeping when I was writing. I cannot live without music.

But now I have found something strange about music.  I doubt that music was interfering with my inner strength.

I believe there is  inner music in the human soul.  I believe there is music in the inner health. And I think that the inner strength is conducted by my own inner tempo.

External music can override my inner tempo. 

Can I use my own written music to conduct my own life?

I think the answer is no.

I don't think they can match together.

You can put on music during your work. But please do not put on music during sleep. It needs more study to show the real influence to your mind and your health,  if you are with music even sleeping.

I will not encourage such a practice.

External tempo can interfere or even dominate your internal tempo.

I prefer to have a quiet place and discover my own inner strength.

The problem is serious.

There must be two kinds of tempo.

The external tempo can override your internal tempo in some occasions.

The internal tempo is always there,  just few people can aware.

It is important to distinguish two kinds of energies: internal and external.

Internal energy can be hidden in inner rhythm or,  inner tempo.

For example,  music is external.

Good music can strengthen and even encourage you, but music is external help only.  Your inner energy gives you the real power.

External music can keep you excited for a short time.

Your inner energy determines your real performance .

It is a total setup. 

Inner energy is the source of health and the source of motivation.   Anyone with inner energy will be strong and active.  Health is not external like the media promotions.  They would advise you how to eat, how to live, and how to do external things. But they are all neglecting the most important thing: 

They don't know there is an inner power within to support you.  The inner power is from your mind. You'll be strong if you keep a healthy mind.  It is the most important factor and it is  the major source of health.

The internal energy cannot be acquired from outside.  The internal energy is from within.  It is from your own sources of mind.

And your mind is your total being.  You have all sources from inside and all other directions to build up your own mind.   It is a total setup. It is not in your daily supplement of vitamins or food. (Please note that I am not denying them.)

A strong mind can help someone even in prison to live well.

The mind is the ultimate source of life.

You will be exceptionally strong if you have a healthy mind.

What is a healthy mind?

A healthy mind is always looking forward and outward.

A healthy mind is never selfish, but selfless.

You need not to acquire external energy.

They will come in automatically if you are not selfish.

Because your mind is shared. 

You have an inner connection with the universe.

You are one with everyone.

To question the concept of non-beginning is important.

It will help us to go up one level to think.

It means it is not zero from the beginning.

It means there is no beginning for the universe.

Existence was from the non-begining.

It means there is only "being plus growing" but no "beginning".

You can say:   in the very, very, very early time of the universe,  there is a "being".   And the being is growing.

It means the beginning is one, not zero.

However another question arises:

If the formular is not 0 to 1,

then,

How could it be  1 to 1  ? 

and,

How can one becomes two,  and two is possibly bigger than a doubled one?

How can growing be possible?

Because growing needs extra spaces and extra resources.

Will the universe become bigger and bigger?

Where can the universe find extra spaces to grow?

How can  the "one" becomes the "two"?

Why a non-beginnigng is possible?

It reminds us that we are always living under some kind of unknown.

We cannot know everything.

Be prepared.

Alert and be humble.

More important is patience.

You need time.

You need plenty of times.

It is more than a few minutes.

Keep the question in your mind for a very long time.

Do not let go and do not forget.

We will be same with our cats and dogs if we have never thought of this question.  

To be unconscious is easy.

If we really want to know more about our situation, there will be more works ahead.

I went to Thailand yesterday.

When I was on the plane,  I saw clouds.

When the plane nearly arrived,   I saw green fields beneath.

What are the people doing on this  planet?

Actually, we know very little about the universe and ourselves.

It seems humans are doing well.

Future historians will note that this is the era of peace.

There will not be great wars ahead,  thanks for  numerous efforts.

But the question remains.

What if every country is rich?

There will be a time when everyone is rich.  Humans need not worry about their livelihood.

This time will not be very far away.

But still we need to answer our first question:

What are we humans here for?

If we can feed ourselves well,   what is the purpose of living further more?

What is our goal after being rich?

Don't you think that you still need to do lots of things if you are really rich?

Besides the natural urge to eat, to sleep, to sex, and to enjoy a peaceful life like your pet,  what is the real purpose of humans?

Do they need to yield something satisfactory to the  Unforeseeable Futures?

We need a deeper thinking for that.

Most people will say it is the weakness in human nature.

And why there is a weakness  in human nature?

It is because some people are less able than others.

They are not so clever as other people.

They are not so smart.

They have to cheat when they cannot got what they want.

A failure in honest is from the unequal of human design.

Some people are born wiser than the others.

Some people are born stronger than the others.

What can the weaker side do?

If everyone is honest there will be no problem on earth.   Human cannot survive at the same time.

There will not be a world perfectly fair and perfectly equal.

If everything is perfect, then there will be perdition.

If everyone is honest, humans will not survive.

So be prepared.  And be alerted.

Dishonest is real.

Honest is the best plan for the next three hundred years.

One hundred years is short and not enough.   The Manchu dynasty has been overthrown by Chinese over a hundred years only.  

To build a stronger spirit,  one hundred years is not enough.  

It needs at least three hundred years to build a strong fortress in the brains of an honest nation.

Honest is the best tactic at all times.

The first three hundred years is important.

There must not be liars anymore.

There must be very strong characters to last longer.

You will be strong if you are honest.

This is the basic requirement for a strong nation.

Some nations were built up in lies.

It was determined by their early religious leaders.

And lies cannot last.

Only honest can last.

If honest is built up,  other good qualities will follow.

How to make better use of a large brain?

If the brain is a large container that it can contain more than thirteen years of video recording......then how am I to use it better?

If it is true that the brain capacity is so big that can it be more useful?

What is the major factor of wisdom in a brain?    

And what can be done to build up a wiser next generation?

All brains must be totally activated.

All sides of brains must be used.

Maybe you agree the capacities of all human brains are more or less the same.

If all of the humans have similar eyes and ears on their face,  if all can see and hear similarly,  then,  can all humans think similarly?

The answer is not sure.

Because some will rely on one side more than the other side of the brain.

Some nations are left-brain oriented, only Chinese people is right-brain oriented.

It is possible that Chinese will have a different  culture development.

It is due to their brain orientation.

If all the capacities are the same, but the orientation is not the same, then what will happen?

What I can imagine is two things here:

1,   The honest side will win.

2,   The selfish side will lose.

The honest side will be benefited from the true function of the brains,  it is almost certain.   They will not lie to themselves.

Why are the selfish sides

 cannot win?

The selfish sides are more individualistic,  and the not-selfish sides more cooperative.

The cooperative side will be better than the individual side.....but it couldn't be seen in a shorter term.

It needs a longer term to see the real effect of cooperation.

 Here are Four Determining Factors:

It is very simple yet few can realize the simplicity of reality behind:

Namely,  they are:-

the left, 

the right, 

the selfish,

the cooperative.

By the above four factors,  you can more or less foresee future development of cultures.

However, here is one most important factor no one should forget:

It is the will.

The stronger will will win.

Qi is not like electricity.   Electricity is known.  The nature of electricity is clear.  Electricity is usable. 

But qi is not known.   The usage of qi is limited to  living body only.   You cannot use qi to light up a candle,  or to push a car.  Only a few Qi masters can use qi in healing.

Will there be more ways to use qi?

Can humans store up qi into qi-batteries?

It seems impossible, or not able at the moment.

The study of qi had been popular for a while, and it was soon faded out.

Qi is a strange energe that humans can use but not known.

Can you use qi to boil water like fire?

When humans can use qi to boil water like fire....it means qi is better known by then.

It was said that qi can help people fly.....I do not know whether it is true or not.  

And I don't know why qi can heal.

Anything without a theory is only a heresy and cannot be accepted....

I do hope qi is not like that.

 No one knows what is she.

 But she is always there.

 She is an energy.

 When your mind moves she can follow.

 You need not to use force.

 Because she is in your mind.

 But one thing is important.

 You need to know the direction.

 Most of the teachings about she are wrong.

 She is not running like a circle.

 She is in your inner center developing like a flower.

 And the flower is going upwards.

 She is in two lines.

 She will come out from your bottom

to the front and to the back.

The back line is positive energy.

The front line is negative energy.

They were from your inner center.

Both will come out from your bottom.

 I repeat once more.

The front line is going up from the front.

And the back line is going up from the back.

The back line will crawl up your neck passing your head passing your nose and to your teeth.

Both were crawling fron the external side of the body.

The back line will meet your front line in your teeth.

When you click your teeth, they will get together.

And she will be swallowed into your stomach.

I don't know how she would travel inside your inner center.

However it is the end of the first round of her travel.

Now you can start the next round.

This is the basic sequence of Qi.

A reminder:

Mind is important.  If there is not a good mind,

she will not follow.

It was said by Jesus:

That you need to love god with all your heart all your soul and all your might.

And then, according to Jesus, you need also to love your neighbors.

How?

 

Jesus said, you need to love your neighbors like loving yourself.

The question is:  aren't they all the same?

Do I need to love god and love my neighbor and love myself with all my might?

As far as I can understand,   they are the same.

You need to love god, you need to love your neighbor and you need to love yourself with all your heart with all your soul and with all your might.

The question is: if I can love them all,  so what?

And my temporary and personal answer is:

Perhaps you will be happy.

Some version in the Bible put the word "might" as mind.

It was like this:

"to love God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind."

Someone argued that all your might is the same as all your mind.

Maybe you will think the same.

I prefer to have no link.

We are all connected, although you might not notice.

It is easier if you can write.  It is easier if readers can read you.   It is a blessing from the heavens.  It is a blessing to all of our human beings.

Yes, you are connected and so what.

All I can assure you is that I will do my best.  I will keep on writing. Maybe sometimes I will sing.

But I don't know whether you like it or not.

Dogs are barking.  Birds are singing. Actually, they are equal.  And how you choose?

Would you like to barking like a dog or singing like a bird?

This question is in a pair.   It is from the ancient Persian poet Rumi.

The pairing question for this is:    What if you will not die?

But these kind of questions are useless.

Most of the people will stay in this thought, less than one minute.

Only a few of a few will stay longer to ponder  more.

Unless the real thing happens.

Unless someone is certified to be dying within twenty four hours,   people will stay and think.

But everyone around is living peacefully and happily.

Most people on earth are happy.

Only a few people are in deep difficulties and they are not happy.

Most people are happy just like their dogs.

Most dogs are happy.

And this is a situation for humans.

It is a design of the humans.

We are just designed this way.

It could be a big disaster if everyone is not like this.

If everyone is concerned.....

I guess there will not be a peaceful time.

There will be wars, big wars and disasters.

What is missing in the ten commandments?

The ten commandments plus the new commandment of love by Jesus shows how the Western world thinks how humans should behave.

But the question is:  is that all?

What else should we do as a human to survive in this universe?

If you tell your children, don't do this and don't do that,  and if they are obedient and obey all these ten or eleven orders....

It is not enough for them.

They are only eleven limitations.

And if you look up from the internet,  there are ten commandments similar in Buddhism.

The East and the West were thinking almost the same.   And the Buddhist might have been going even further.  Disciples are not allowed singing and dancing. Or even watching them.

And the question is not what we should not do, but what we need to do?

What are the most urgent and important things we should be doing?

What I can think of is only one word:  quest.

Quest is to search about the truth in this universe.

We need to ask questions.

Because we cannot wait for answers,  but to quest about all the truths in this universe and live through them.

How fast will the Chinese culture be growing?

Chinese culture is growing very slowly.  You don't see many Chinese science achievements.   There are Chinese science achievements,  but it is not  revolutionary.   It is not turning the world upside down.

There is no cultural revolution in China.    The so-called Cultural revolution happened in the sixties was only political.   

The Chinese languages were almost the same.  They are still using the old simplified form of the Chinese language.

For quite a time people were watching the  Chinese medicines.  People were expecting something to turn up.   However, the growth is slow and not very satisfactory.

I always compare the Chinese growth with the western industrial revolution.   It was a really leap forward.

What you can see is that many Chinese intellectuals are using western languages to express themselves.

Why don't they use Chinese?

I guess there will be a time for the Chinese to become bilingual.   Everyone can speak English in the near future.

Will there be more people using English than Chinese in the future?

We can wait and see how culture development will grow.

We need to remember always one important thing:

Western language is developed in the left hemisphere of the brain.   And Chinese language is a right side language.

If more people switch their brains into the left side,  Chinese cultural development will be going left.

It is not something you can change.

But it needs to be alerted to look at it.
