I suppose they do not know either.

But they are living very well like you and me.

Actually we do not know our final fate.

What will happen to the humans a million years later?

We know nothing but still we are living on.

The only difference is that we are trying to live in a better way.

And the more important difference is that we are trying to think in the context of a whole rather than an individual.

What is the fate of our human species?

I've only a few readers. Only a few will share this idea.

That we are still living without knowing where we are going or what will happen.

Time is only a human awareness of the moving objects.

And if we agree the universe is a life,  then the universe might aware that,  it is running in a movement of "time".

There is actually no "time" in the universe.  "Time" is the awareness of a living body only.

If you can aware how a tree grows,  or how a baby grows,  you need to measure the movement of the growing things,  then you can compare them,  and you use the term "time" to measure the movements.

"Time" is a measure inside the human brain.

If you have no brain,  and of course you will have no "time". Only that you will find the movements are moving or the clocks are running.

If you do away all the clocks  and calendars,  but still your hair will grow longer each day and you will be older each day.

Everything will be gone in time.  Only your deeds remains.

Actually, it is a very special reality.

The universe is so big,  why only this one planet earth is for humans to stay?

This is a popular subject for  religious people.

The religious thought is very difficult to avoid.

There must be some kind of unknown power to put humans here.

Life is always a puzzle.

Religious people can easily explain how life came to this earth.

But science people cannot.

My thought is that it needs not a source for life.

There is no "beginning" in this universe.

As soon as you reached the concept of "no beginning",  as soon as you realised that "beginning" is actually not existed,  you will understand more.

There is no beginning of this universe and there is no beginning of life.

They were there like chains.   And the chains has no beginning.   It comes from nowhere and it goes to nowhere.    It is only a continuation.  The traditional concept about "beginning" is absolutely wrong.

The universe was there, is there and will be there.

The concept of "beginning" is absurd.   It is impossible to have a beginning for everything.  

Universe has no beginning. Life has no beginning.  Life and universe are the same. When there was life there was the universe.   But in English we have no such a word about something is everlasting "is".

The concept of "was" in the universe is actually  "everlasting ".

It is only is.   It is never was.

And this is not a word game.  It is reality.

In Chinese language, it is completely different.  Because the Chinese do not use the word "was".   It seems to be strange in the other mind.  But it is very natural according to the understanding of the Chinese.

Actually, humans are not going anywhere.   They are only trying to improve themselves.

It was just like a flower.  The flower can only try to open up further more and no more.  Then there will be a fruit.  Then there will be more seeds.   It is only a circular movement.   The flower is going nowhere.

Aren't we humans not the same?

Yes, humans can try to improve themselves.

But no one can tell where are we humans going.

Aren't we going to another planet?

Aren't we like seeds trying to fly over to another garden?

We are only improving and spreading but not going.

For a mature personality, feeling is not a problem. 

  They know how to feel,  how to love, how to serve and how to build.

The problem is they might not aware that they need to share this important life experience with the younger generation.

Of the four stages of mind,  "how to feel" is the first  extremely  important stage.

It needs a self consciousness  to experience this feeling.

If one doesn't know how to feel,  it means one will not know how to enjoy the beauty of this universe.

If one doesn't know how to enjoy beauty,  then he or she will stand at the side of ugliness for the rest of their life.

It's important to know how to feel.  

In many cases it can save your life.  For example, if someone put a snake behind you;  it is my own true experience:  did you notice it?  Did you notice there is great danger nearby?

Knowing how to feel is important for your whole life.  

It is more than your whole life because you need to teach them for your children,  and the children of your children.

Of the four important stages of life:   to feel, to love, to serve, to build..... if you can share it with the next generation,  they will stand up and be strong.

It is just like kindergarten teacher  teaching their pupils how to feel the sweet smell of a flower:

It is the set up of a  "free will" for the humans protects the humans.

If humans do not have a free will,   then an ultimate defeat is unavoidable.

The underground powers are always thinking about "regime change".

It seems to be a profitable business.

Changed the regime and you've got the money,  plus all the controlling powers.

It might be the case of some smaller countries.

You rolled in a team of soldiers and you've got everything.

But China is not the case.

Even though a foreign power did changed the regime,  but the "regime" is not controllable.

China is a big power, not a small power.

You can control a small power,  but a big power has got his own life, and its own will.

It is not possible to control from outside.

Serious problem is the underground network from the underground party.

Situations in the whole world is changed, according to calculation, China will be richest in the coming decades; but it might be a wrong calculation.  Things will be going much faster than expected. Why Xi?

It is because, Xi is moderate. Xi is humble and Xi is not radical like the right-wing powers in the States. If one day China had changed into Chi-merica, and be ruled by a party of self-interest minded people, they would in turn take over the position of a boss and the United States will be their first worry and they will start beating, guarding and limiting the new enemy which is the older United States. 

Time is running extremely fast. Xi will be getting old and so does US President.

History will not have the patience to produce another two clever people like Xi and another US leader(or his controller). They are more or less the same type of people and history will not produce another pair for the world.

Why black color is getting more and more popular?

Color is another secret myth in our universe.

I can never forget about Ernest Hemingway when he was telling a story about how he was dying in the forest.

He could not move several days in the forest.  What he hated most was the crows or ravens waiting patiently on the trees nearby.  

Those were completely dark birds.  You cannot see their eyes because they were all black.  Ernest Hemingway knew they will come down at once if he cannot move or dead.  They will tear off his skin and eat his flesh.

After reading the novel, every time I saw a crow I will try to see its eyes.  You can never see how a crow sees.

It was this feeling made me hate black colors.

You never know how they think.   You only know that they will come to eat you if you die.

Black color is a mystery for me, and scary.

But it is getting more and more popular.

And I have no right to vote against it.

Some of the young people in Hong Kong prefer everything black,  except their own dark hair.    They would dye their dark hair in other colors,  and wear all black.

There must be a meaning in it.   And I don't know the meaning could be negative or not,  though I do not like it.

(I saw some young couples in Hong Kong  made their babies to wear all black,  its completely  ridiculous.  It is not known how their mind-sets were moulded.)

How do you handle  mediocre people?  

The worst case is that they are everywhere around you.

You have nowhere to escape. 

They are kind-hearted.   They are for your own good.   But they will not allow you to go anywhere.

If you are a scientist,  you need to hide away inside your own personal laboratory,  until one day you discovered something.

But sometimes you do not have places to hide.

You can only hide it inside your own brain.

It's like a music orchestra conductor.  He has to use mediocre  people.   He has to follow the mediocre people.  Or else he needs to push behind them.

Sometimes he would think:  it is better for me to do your job.

You have to start from scratch.  You have to teach them hand by hand.

It is not like war years. 

They would die for the country in war years.   But now they would steal money from your open pocket.

How are you to handle mediocre people?

You cannot hire a teacher to teach them.

You must be the teacher yourself.

You must be brave enough to replace them because they will replace you instead.

To be surrounded by a group of mediocre people is like floating in the sea. 

They were your life jacket ....... you can float, but never go.

And they can turn themselves into killing at any time.

They are not a safe device but a time bomb.

Keep away from mediocre friends, if you can.

It has been happening for a long time.

At first it is religion decline,  now it is spiritual decline.

Religion and spirits are not the same.

You don't need to have the help of religion for a strong spirit,  as religion is a formatted regulation for spirits.

Yet spirit declines.

Money is above all.  Money has replaced the human spirit as a major driving force for them to go forward.

I hope I am wrong.

As many of the best intellectuals are not working for money.

They have a goal ahead for them to go forward. Their success made money follow.

Intellectual success is in many ways.   Not all of them are commercial.

There are best intellectuals starving.

Are they declining?

The answer is no.

The only problem is for the general public.   Most can only see money.   Most are weak from the inside.

It was a term used by John Lennon quite a long time ago.  "They are crippled inside".

It is not a beautiful  scenery:

A few talented geniuses are running ahead, leading a huge crowd of cripplers crawling behind.

Many of the talents do not have followers.

But still they are working.

When money is the only criteria for everything, spirits will be weaker and weaker.

There will be less and less love in human affairs.

And so what?

The next is less and less truth in human affairs.

We know that truth is not the same as scientific skills.  Yet they are related.  When you have no love, you have no science.

There are different kinds of happiness.

And the highest happiness is not easy to achieve.

Most of the people can never achieve this happiness for their whole life.

They did not even know such happiness existed.

What is common happiness?

Anyone could name a lot of it.

   

Only they would not know the top secret of the highest happiness.

The highest happiness is granted to only a few among a few.

Highest happiness will come only when you are burning the whole of your inner urge.

"Burning the inner urge",  is the same as burning your body.

If you are killing yourself to do something,  it is just like the Buddha  cutting off his own flesh piece by piece, to feed the needed.

Only the Buddha himself can experience such kind of happiness in the extreme pain.

Is it the highest happiness?

May be,  or may not be.

No one can tell whether  it is happiness or not,  because he has died for it,   or because he has become Buddha for it.

And the question has changed.

The question is not for the "highest happiness". 

Perhaps the Buddha was not seeking happiness at all.   He must be seeking something more important than happiness.

And we ordinary people cannot say it is the "highest"  thing.

We can only know he was doing everything for it.

Therefore he is the saint.

Therefore he is the Buddha.

The question about the "highest happiness" seems irrelevant now.

There must be something higher than the highest.

It could be the ultimate goal for the universe, as well as we humans.

And of course it is not the only problem for the United States, but the whole world.

It is not like the days of  Abraham Lincoln.    Now The United States is going downward.

They might still be leaders in science for a time.

But the internal problem of the United States is not to be solved easily.

Rich people still be rich yet the poor has nowhere to go.

And in influence of the Isreals is strong in the  politics of the United States.

Can any one of the future presidents of the United States find a good way out?

The possibility is not to be denied.   Although the hope is but a glimpse.

There won't be a war within the three powers,  yet regional wars could be happening again and again.

There won't be absolute peace on earth.

The United States people are pushing countries to the side of China,  for business and for peace.

And this is only the political view for the next fifty years.

The next fifty years could be completely different only for one condition, that the arts people and  literature  people and music people will rise and voice loudly for the whole world and take up the  leadership of minds.

A new route is important for the next fifty years for future generations.

Building an army of minds is more important than building an army of weapons.

It is important.

How does Singapore attract tourists?

It is indeed very attractive. 

They offer free popular concerts every night at turist spots.

Tourists will have a very happy moment in the concert.

The night when I were in Singapore,  I went to such a concert.  They hired a team of musicians from Cuba.

Hot music did have a good push for happy moments.

I did not think much during the concert.  The Cuban drums were beating your hearts out....and its free.

However,  people will not come because of a free concert. It was until now when I was writing I asked myself again,  what is the purpose of living?

It has long been my theme of writing.  Yet recently I seldom wrote about it.

To seek pleasure is never for me.   Pleasure or  hapinesss will come  automatically when you are burning your inner urge.

What is it?

Its never predictable nor achievable as planned.

You can only work for your goal,  and there might be blood and tears in it and would never be easy and happy.

And sometimes it is life threatening.

Yet you will do it.

And of course this is not the job of a tourist officer:   to offer some temporary satisfaction is too easy.

Why selflessness is useless?

If all the population of a country turned themselves into selfless monks and nuns.....what will happen?   

There will not be offsprings,  there will not be marriages,  there will not be children... ....but all these are not important.

The whole population will become selfless.    There will not be growth, though this can only be a joke,  no one  believe it is true.

Absolute selflessness could only be an imagination of an impossible ideal.

It cannot work.

It could only be a trap for the naive people.

If you say selfish is not good,  but the opposite of selfish, the so-called selflessness,  is also a problem.

Because humans need a purpose in life.   Humans need a goal to go forward.   If you do away your "self",  there won't be any place left for you to stand.

You cannot go anywhere.

You became aimless.

It is okay for some people be aimless in their life.

But it is not possible for the whole country nor the whole population.

Why world peace is of no use?

 

In the forseeable near future,  there will not be a great war among the powers.

There will be fifty years or even one hundred years of world peace ahead.

There will be no major war among the powers.

But it is completely useless.

It is because only one thing:

All the external struggles will turn internal. 

The internal struggles will be much severe.   It will be fierce,  more than many times stronger than before.

The evil side will start all the attacks,   when the positive side has no action.  The positive sides will not take initiative to attack.

The result will be a big worry for the future.

If there is no war outside,  all the struggles will turn inside.

It will be very unhappy moments.

Even parents and children, husbands and wives will fight together.   This was the worst experience from China not long ago.

Old teachings were completely useless by the time.

Internal struggle made people mad.

But this kind of struggles will come back.

It will be happening in China.

I don't know how things will be going in Russia and the United States.

Someone will be very happy seeing the Chinese are fighting internally again.

There must be a new form of education for the young generations.

Chinese need completely new education, new science, new art,  new literature. new music, etc and etc for the new generation,  just let them to see a great future but not  fighting internally for a selfish purpose.

No internal fight is allowed.

You can choose to do research or do creative  art works.   You can choose to go ahead but not to go backwards.

No one is allowed to use others as a stepping stone to go up.

Selfishness is the worst sin.

It is a long education for this.

There should be an open mind for everybody.

Building the mind is more important than building a house.

Positive sides must take initiative now.

How is everyone unique?

Older people will teach you: be the same with others,  do not do anything different.

And sometimes they are correct.   You will starve to death if not obeying.

And someone else will ask himself:   What is the purpose of my life?

One can do many things, if he needs not to worry about food.

Food is never a problem for more talented people.

When everybody is working in the same place and earning the same wage,  he is thinking other strange things.

Yes, he is different.

He can die early,  or he can be a true leader in music, literature or other difficult places.

Whenever you are not afraid of starving, you can go.

A salary is always a strong fence to stop you going.......especially when the money is high and attractive.

What's  important in the human mind?

It seems that we are limited beings.   We have a short life span and we are living in a limited space.

But actually, we are unlimited beings. 

Although every single unit seems to be limited,  but the grand total is going on.

It's logical to think that there must be some even bigger grand total on top of our universe and therefore the future is not measurable.

There is no "outside" outside our universe.  

Because what is outside is still outside.

And not easily imaginable is inside. 

There must be another "inside"  within your inside.   And it is logical to think,   there will be no end in the multiple insides.

It is only common sense.  But it took thousands of years of  civilizations  to think about it.

It's all due to only one thing in our mind.

We are accustomed to the limited spheres in life.

If life is unlimited, then no one is dying.

We are like chains.   It is continuous.   It is short in a single life circle,  but there will be no end in it.

Do you believe you were here one thousand years ago?

And you'll be here one thousand years later,  or more.

The units of life cannot be counted as you and me.

You and me will be there in the future together,  it is the same that we were there like before.

You and me are only a small unit in the chains of lives.  

You and me were there and will be there together.

You need to leave your own small unit to think about this.

If you can stay in a grand unit,  then you can see the grand future is coming and you were coming from the past.

It is just like an apple.

You were the same as an apple ten thousand years ago,   and you will be there ten thousand years later,  or an unlimited future later.

You will be a future creature.

And you will be a future you.

But you cannot remember yourself in history.   Simple memories are not important.   Important is the inner memory of yourself from the very old times.

Everyone can believe about this if their mind is quiet.

You are coming from an unlimited before and you are going to an unlimited future.

We are only in the mid-way.

Why is it important?

Yes, you will have a stronger mind if you believe that you have a past and you are sure to have a future.

We are long and we are not short.

It means we'll have a future.

It is for the imagination to think that something will happen in the future,  and you can be excited but not  worried.

It means you can sing and dance in history and in future.

note:

Life is a continuation.

There is no real death in life as life will be going on in another stage.  

One stage will end and the next stage will be coming.

This is important in the human mind.

Humans can think better  with this concept.  They can envisage a future better.

What is "Unknown"?

"Unknown"  is a term used by me to indicate our situation about the universe.

The problem for humans is that they know very little but lie a lot,  especially in ancient times.

Confucius is right when he said,  "if you don't know, say you don't know."

But Confucius insisted to obey the elders, whom might not be knowing everything.  He was contradictory to himself.

Up to this moment,   I believe, humans still do not know what is a soul and they cannot be sure where would the soul be going after death. 

 

Humans do not know where the soul comes from,  nor where the soul will be going.

There might be some inner connections  linking  the subconscious of humans.

But it is only a guess.

You might know how your friends feel,  and you might not know what they knew if they are not telling you.

Inner connection is a good topic for future science.

You can only guess and feel it now.

 What is important for now?

 Important is honest.

What is the difference between a brain and a mind?

If you have a body, it doesn't mean that you have a life.

It seems to be ridiculous:

How can I "have"a body if I do not have a life?

It seems that "you" are not necessary the same with "your body" or "your life".

It might be only a word game.  Or it might be true:  "you" are always there to manage your own body,  plus your life.

Important is the next difference between your brain and your mind.

Would it be possible that someone does have a brain but  doesn't have a mind?

A brain is a physical organ.

It seems that the mind is the product of the brain.

But it is difficult to distinguish them.

What if the brain is gone but the mind still exists?

Can the mind exists outside the brain?

This is only a naive imagination.  But if someone do not allow such naive imagination,  it might be too pratical and not interesting at all.

And the only fact is:   No one in history has ever returned.

You will not see Beethoven again.   You will not see Julius Caesar again.   No one in history has ever returned.

It is both bad and good.

Because everyone is new.

Because everyone is different from the old.

It is wonderful.

All you can hope is you can live in the memory of the future people,  like the other best of humans.

It might not be something called a "fame".

You don't need to keep your fame in history,  as said Li Bai the famous poet.

But a good fame will live on.

Those best of humans will live on in the memories of the future. 

They are models for our future.

What are the best of humans?

They are heroes.

Why Hong Kong Government is good?

Hong Kong is very different from Macao.

Because there is a huge influence from the British in Hong Kong while Macao is less influenced from  Portugal.

How can you stand firm against all sorts of influences?

Hong Kong Government is realistic, but they do not deviate from the direction.

They are working hard to keep businesses going and they are doing well to support the economy.

But it is not most important.

Economy will be coming as a wave.   When you can live it over like the sixties,  and you can handle future hardship....if that comes again.

 

Next is language issue within the context of cultural matters.

Hong Kong and Macao is still using traditional Chinese.

It is welcomed by all.

Hong Kong Government people can talk with Taiwan people more easily because of that.

Traditional Chinese is the inner link in all Chinese.

Hong Kong people can be a bridge using traditional Chinese to link up with Taiwan.

Taiwan people will be happy to read Chinese newspapers in Hong Kong..... if they are printed vertically.

In the city of Hong Kong,  there are many big trees.

Sometimes.  old trees will be rotten,  need to saw off and take away quickly.

Here is one example.

A tree like this is rotten.

Workers came very fast.

They saw off the tree in a short time.

When I came back from my lunch, the tree was gone.

Now you can see only the base of the tree.   It's shown in my photo.

There were two trees before.

Now it became one in minutes.

You can check about the base of the rotten tree.   It is now decorated with small pots of flower.

Why Hong Kong is improving?

I didn't understand it at first.  

I didn't know why I was so happy suddenly.

Now it is clear.

It is because I feel Hong Kong is improving.

Hong Kong people are working hard.   From housing affair to daily traffic,   Hong Kong has improved a lot.

Why Hong Kong is improving?

For so many years I have been living in Hong Kong,  I have never experienced such wonderful change.

I thought we are having a very good government now,  And it is the work of China.

China is improving,   it is natural for Hong Kong to follow.

It was said that Hong Kong is a lucky place.

No matter how difficult were the world situation,   Hong Kong will remain stable.

Hong Kong is the middle point of China and the world. Hong Kong people should be happy.

I didn't know why I was happy before.

But today I saw the  earth is turning in my own eyes.

Equinox points are near.  Rotations will change the place.

It is natural for the whole world.  You will always have a change.

Now the change is for Hong Kong people.

What a lucky place we are in.

Actually, the question is not about the difference of the fruits. The question is asking us another thing:

Can you enjoy life better than a monkey, a mountain monkey?

I used to think I can enjoy life.  But to compare with a mountain monkey....
