What will happen if all language issues are settled?
It will happen in the very near future. People can communicate using a simple device like a mobile to talk or message with anyone in the whole world.
All language users will be using the same device in a few years of time.
They can read and write anything with anybody without difficulty.
If you say something, others can receive it.
What's the implication here?
The implication is: it will be meaningless for the Taiwan issue.
It needs not the help of traditional Chinese to settle the Taiwan issue.
You just make a phone call and the problem is solved.
But the problem remains.
Because you will not know who is the President of the United States by that time.
