How to reach directly?

There are always two approaches for any direction.

You can reach directly with your own intuition or your subjective understanding -- it is not allowed in most of the western methods.  

And you can also use some indirect way to understand things.   You can investigate. 

Anyone with a sensible sense will tell you it's best to combine the two:   You need to use your subjective understanding and reach directly into the core of matters,  but you also need to investige thoroughly and completely.

It is a theory not easy to deny.  

It seems there will be no other way if you are not doing it objectively and not subjectively.

It will not be so simple and so easy as that.

Or else anything in the world is easy.

What you need is to have a mind of your own.

Sometimes you can reach the core of matters in the midnight during your sleep.   You wake up suddenly and you find the reality in the deep of a dark night without any help.

You don't need to have a pencil to write it down immediately.   Because if you wake up your left side of your brain,  and if you try to use language to note down matters,   you will have lost the insight.

It is never logical,  and it is not even subjective or objective.   Some people said insights were from heaven.  However,  you don't need to care whether it is from heaven or from your deep mind.

Important is to be quiet and reach it. 

To reach what? to reach afar as said by the ancient talent Zhuge Liang?

No.   It is not to be far or short.   The inner core is not a distance.   It is a reality.

And you are not necessary to remain quiet.

You can sing, you can dance, you can climb a hill, you can go afar.   When the insight is coming,  just dont deny it.

The worst thing is to deny it through your subordinate advisers.   If they are so smart, they will be in your place already.   They can research, they can investigate, they can calculate. But they cannot have your own instinct.

Be quiet is important.   It means you are thinking.  If you don't think,  it is useless to be quiet.

So Zhuge Liang must be right:

To be quiet and reaching.  寧靜致之
