Why the green is still there?

I was excited when I saw it yesterday from a tree on Hong Kong Island.

It is different from a painting.   You can buy a painting and keep it at home.  But the leaves will be gone in a few days.

I don't know why I'm so happy to see this light green.  I treasure every moment of it. 

I have one even better color in my memory.

It is at the East end of the Hong Kong Island harbour.

Every year before the Ching Ming festival, light green leaves will appear.

It is very different from the one yesterday.

Yesterday, I saw a tree totally covered with light green leaves.

But the tree near the East harbour is different.

The darker old leaves were still there from last year.

The new leaves just shot out like a baby among the old.

Maybe it is the contrast that brings in the special feeling.

If there is no contrast from last year,  how can I discover this new one?

They are not flowers, I cannot take one to keep it.

I can only keep it in my memory.

It is mine forever.

And I am a little proud of myself.

I haven't lost my chance.

Someone from somewhere has given me this chance.

I haven't missed it.

When I saw many others passing by, I treasured my leaves more.

Those were very happy people, with a bliss of ignorance on their faces.

Maybe there's one out of a trillion can be a really rich person.
