Let it be as you wish

My Sunday Scripture 2008.8.17.

AT that time, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre
and Sidon. Now a Canaanite woman came from those
borders and began to cry out, " Lord, Son of David,
have pity on me! My dauighter is tormented by a
demon." But Jesus did not answer her, not even a
word. So his disciples approached him and said,
"Send her away: see how she is shouting after us."

Then Jesus said to her, "I was sent only to the lost
sheep of the nation of Israel."

But the woman was already kneeling before Jesus and
said, "Sir, help me!"Jesus answered, "It is not
right to take the bread from the children and throw
it to the little dogs." The woman replied, "It is
true, sir, but even the little dogs eat the crumbs
which fall from their master's table." Then Jesus
said, "Woman, how great is your faith! Let it be
as you wish. " And her daughter was healed at
that moment.

(那時候，耶穌回到了提洛和漆冬一帶的地方。有一個
從那地方來的客納罕婦人，開始大聲呼喊了：「主啊，
達味的兒子啊，可憐我吧！我的女兒被一隻魔鬼折磨
得好苦啊。」但耶穌沒有回答她。一個字也沒有說。
門徒聚上前來說：「看她叫得多麼吵，差她走吧。」

耶穌便對她說：「我受差派，只是為了那些以色列
民族的迷失羔羊呢。」

但那婦人己經跪在耶穌跟前了。她說：「先生，幫幫
我吧！」耶穌回答說：「把孩子的麵包丟給小狗，是
不對的呢。」那婦人答說：「對啊，先生。但小狗也
可以吃主人桌上掉下來的碎屑呢。」耶穌回答她說：
「婦人啊，你的信德多麼大。就按你所希望的，成全
你吧。」從那時刻起，她的女兒就痊愈了。)

讀後感：

第一點是強烈的「信德」。或者，有人以為這就是
「信念」。但信德是跟信念不同的。信德是天人合
一的內在體會，信念只是人的單方面想法。

第二點是以色列。以色列人到今天還是像兩千年前
那樣的否認耶穌。不知以色列人還要迷失到甚麼時
