Keys to the Heaven

My Sunday Scripture 2008.8.24.

When Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi
he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the
Son of Man is?" They replied, "Some say John the
Baptist, others Elijah, still others Jeremiah or one
of the prophets." He said to them, "But who do you
say that I am?"

Simon Peter said in reply, "You are the Messiah, the
Son of the living God." Jesus said to him in reply,
"Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and
blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly
Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon
this rock I will build my church, and the gates of
the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will
give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever
you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and
whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
Then he strictly ordered his disciples to tell no
one that he was the Messiah.

Matthew 16:13-20

耶穌來到了裴理伯的凱撒勒雅境內，就問門徒說：
「人們說人子是誰 ? 」他們說：「有人說是洗者
若翰；有人說是厄里亞；也有人說是耶肋米亞，或
先知中的一位。」耶穌對他們說：「你們說我是誰 ? 」

西滿伯多祿回答說：「你是默西亞，永生天主之子。」
耶穌回答他說：「約納的兒子西滿，你是有福的，因
為不是肉和血啟示了你，而是我在天之父。我再給你說：
你是伯多祿 ( 磐石 ) ，在這磐石上，我要建立我的
教會，陰間的門決不能戰勝她。我要將天國的鑰匙交
給你：凡你在地上所束縛的，在天上也要被束縛；凡你
在地上所釋放的，在天上也要被釋放。 」
他遂即嚴禁門徒，不要對任何人說他是默西亞。




讀後感：
一，耶穌是救世主默西亞(Messiah)，這一訊息，猶太
人至今不肯承認。
二，這訊息是由西滿百多祿說出的。這不是他自己的
體會。這是天主啟示的。
三，耶穌藉西滿百多祿建立了教會。所以，教會不是人自
己成立的。是天主的意旨建立的。
四，天主教的教會，就是由宗徒傳下來的教會。但基督教
否認這一點。基督教的教會，是信徒自行成立的。跟天主
教的傳承不同。
